I was thinking of using that but bit confused as the site states 0% for 4 months but the example figures imply its for the full term of the repayment

TBH it is very confusing and I've tried to use it 3 times previously to buy trains and a PC, each failed and I cancelled it. It is quite a bizarre and confusing set up so not recommended! You have to arrange to make the payments from a non-credit card yourself and if you miss the dates you get hit with full interest etc. Basically I will have to pay it over 4 equal instalments by the correct dates or I get clobbered. Paypal can do payments but have yet to grasp loans.

Hello everyone

Thank you all of you who took part in my birthday offer, especially those who purchased a 57302, they are the first we have sold online. I'm sorry but all the prices have been increased again.

Our 37116's have been selling really well, of our allocation of thirty six, we only have twelve left, in less than a week. I also had confirmation from Bachmann, that they have sold out in the warehouse. So don't hang about if you are considering purchasing one https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/153623975680?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649  32-781-DS

Regarding any issues with payment, we do have a group account, which you can make a direct bank transfer, please just get in touch. Also I'm always happy to hold any item, for when pay day comes around. Please don't hesitate in getting in touch.

Cheers

Philip

Good morning

I will be at the Epping and Ongar diesel gala, at North Weald station, on Saturday with the group's sales stand. If you are attending, please feel free to come and say hello.

Also I will be stepping down from the group's online sales on the Friday before Warley, with the Saturday at the show, being my last involvement with the group for a while.

Cheers

Hello everyone

Thank you if any of you purchased something from us at the EOR on Saturday, it really made it worth it going to these events. Recently galas have been very disappointing of late.

I've restocked on a few items, plus to my surprise I was tipped off that Bachmann have got some more class 90037 & 90042 in stock. I have ordered four of each, but have already sold three 90037's. I've been told that these are from a different batch, which should have no issues with over tightened screws!

Good evening everyone

Our allocation of 32-392 ( 37046 in dutch livery) are arriving tomorrow

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/163870597333?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649  32-792  (37046)  £144.45

Also our most popular model is back in stock tomorrow

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/163870634167?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649  32-788 (37284)  £123

If we sell three more of these, you will join the exclusive class 37 locomotive group 100 club. This and 37041 have been our most successful models since our limited edition of 37003. Until late June these two have been head to head, in fact 37041https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/163821635786?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 was possibly in front, at the moment we have sold ninety seven  37284's and ninety two 37041's. If you wish to join the 100 club, and renumber either into your favourite class 37, it would be a nice achievement for me, to sell hundred of each design.

Cheers

Well, what a few days that was. Thanks to the eBay 10% offer, it was just like Christmas again in the Cole Wallace household, with fifty parcels being wrapped by my lovely wife in the past five days.

I won't give the full details, but I've been able to list all of my allocation of 32-781SD. Don't wait for to long, as we only have four left.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/163887677586?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649  37116-£144.45

Due to selling most of our allocation over the last few days, I have again listed all of our 32-792 with only eight left in stock

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/163870597333?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649  37046 -£144.45

Both locos are now out of stock in the Bachmann warehouse.

Once again thank you so much for your support, it certainly has made my last few months in charge of sales a pleasure.

Cheers

Hello Meatloaf

Thanks for the order, and I'm pleased that you were happy with our service.

Well after ten years I attended my final diesel gala with the group's sales stand. If any of you attended the NVR, and purchased something from us, thank you very much.

As  I now have only six weeks left, if anyone would like something ordered specificity Bachmann related they have four weeks to place it with me.

I've relisted a few things please check out our eBay shop. https://www.c37lg.co.uk/shopmain.aspx?category=models

After nearly a year, we have nearly run out of our allocation of FGA's

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/153661351558?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649  38-627- £71.95 only four remaining

I also listed one of our popular badges on ebay

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/163906752010?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649  class 68029-£5 plus 75p P&P

Here is a link to our other badges on the group's  website

https://www.c37lg.co.uk/shopmain.aspx?category=badges

My personal favourite is 37408, which we have only fifteen left, so please don't hang around if you want one.

All the best

  • 2 weeks later...

Good evening everyone

Just a quick reminder that if you want anything from the Bachmann catalogue, which is still available in the warehouse before I finish on the 22nd they need to get any orders into me by the 4th. I can either send via the post, or deliver by hand at Warley on the Saturday.

You can contact me with your requests at colewallace5@sky.com

Cheers

Philip

No the Class 37 Locomotive Group's shop, will not be closing. All that is happening, is that I'm standing down after posting all the model orders over the past four years.

Obviously there will be a transition period, while our present Chairman Gavin Wolfenden takes over. He certainly has a baptism of fire, as all three class 20's and 37710 arrive within the first week or so, of him taking on the gauntlet.

All I'm doing is to offer the Cole Wallace  touch, for the last time.

Cheers

Good evening everyone

Can I ask a little bit of advise from some of my customers. When I step down at Warley, I wanted to purchase one of the group's class 37 models. If it's an easy job, I would like to purchase a 32-775SD (37032)and remove the Mirage nameplate without affecting the model underneath. If not it will have blue 37284

Many thanks for any info

Hi Philip

As always cannot give guarantees but suggest this is least risky process. Worst that will happen is that it wont work !We have 130 locos in our collection - most are renumbered. Best way to remove tampo printing - numbers and name plates - without damage  - is to use alkaline products.

Model strip paste used to be perfect for Bachmann models but is no longer available. Oven Pride is a thick gel which will stay put and works in the same way - have done whole models in the supplied bag but for your purposes suggest applying with a cotton bud with the model lying flat on its side - do one side at a time. This product has worked on our 33 Class 43 warships without any need to respray - they are a similar vintage to this model.

Thank you Phil

I'll probably give it ago. The model will never run, it's just a memory of my time at the group. I would have preferred either 37015 in blue or 37128 or 37261 in large logo, but the group and Bachmann haven't got them in production.

To my surprise but I'm very pleased that it did, I sold two 32-781B (37041) this week.

I've relisted my final two in stock https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/153715319508?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649.  £123

If I manage to sell these two by Monday, it will bring my total to ninety seven sold. I will then order hopefully in time another three to try and reach my magic one hundred.

I've have already placed what I thought was my final order with my rep, but if you guys can help I would be thrilled.

We are stand C22 at Warley, I shall be there on Saturday, which will be my final sales act for the group.

My final gesture to you all will be a sale of a few certain models starting on the 15th for one week only, most of them are probably not your favourite  choice of locos, but I might add a few little gems, in small quantities

Have a good weekend everyone, and I hope that the rain, isn't causing you too much bother.

Cheers

Philip

I haven’t done this one but all the 37s I’ve removed depot plates from ( also black , silver ) Tcut works, the silver taking longer to get rid of.it does give a shiny area though which is great if renumbering , but a pain if not. I always spray with Matt varnish to hide anyway

other folk use humbrol enamel thinner but I’ve little experience of that other than removing a sector logo and it certainly doesn’t work with older 37s as it goes straight through the grey as well

Hi Philip

Before using any liquid option, try using the pointed edge of toothpick to remove the plate, or if your very careful use the edge of a rounded blade hobby knife and very gently scrape off the nameplate.  These options normally leave no trace of the nameplate and no damage to the main body colour.  Failing that, T-cut/cotton bud will remove the nameplate only, but leave a small shiny patch.
