JaymzHatstand
Congratulations indeed! No doubt there'll be a range of accessories appearing in due course; pushchairs, carry cots, and all manner of infant related accoutrements! Perfect for family groups on platforms and such, so they'd be most welcome! Cheers J
RMweb Gold Rowsley17D Posted April 8, 2021 RMweb Gold Share Posted April 8, 2021 (edited) I see that @alanbuttler of ModelU has introduced Midland Railway point rodding stools which are just what I need but does anybody know if GWR cranks would pass for Midland ones or will I have to wait until Alan produces Midland ones? Thanks. Edited April 8, 2021 by Rowsley17D
alanbuttler
It's been an absolute age since I updated this thread with what we've been up to, so here is a summary of our new products and developments over the last few months. These included signalbox interior details and GWR point rodding cranks. BR cranks were added in the Spring. https://www.modelu3d.co.uk/product-category/detailing-components/signal-box-interior/ https://www.modelu3d.co.uk/product-category/detailing-components/infrastructure-detailing/point-rodding/ Modern Day Policemen Thanks to Modelu customer Jamie Evonston, we were able to add 6 new modern day Police officers to the range. As a signalman at the SVR as his past time, and as a signalman for Network Rail as his job, he brought a wealth of experience to the poses and uniform. It was great to revisit the poses some 6 years later, with our new scanner and improved printing methods. The results are 3 new signalmen and 2 new guards. https://www.modelu3d.co.uk/product-category/finescale-figures/railway-and-lineside/1948-1968-rl/signalmen/ https://www.modelu3d.co.uk/product-category/finescale-figures/railway-and-lineside/1948-1968-rl/guards/ AEC Railcar Crew & Passengers Thanks to Ben Jones at Heljan who kindly provided us 4mm and 7mm railcars, we now have drivers for BR and GWR periods and passengers to suit. The cameras in question are good from the ‘30s on and with the exception of the Leica would be good for the teens or the ‘20s. The clothing styles are another question beyond my ken. phil gollin
. On the thread discussing the Bachmann 009 Quarry Hunslets it has been claimed that neither the open, or closed cab versions would come with a crew figure (or pair of figures). Will you consider doing one/some ? .

Popular Post alanbuttler
Hi all, We had our first exhibition since Covid a couple of weeks ago at the Severn Valley Railway O Gauge Get Together. It was a great weekend and we were also able to capture a sack full of new poses for the range. For anyone modelling creameries, we have a whole host of new figures and milk churns coming out in the next couple of weeks. These depict a lab technician testing the milk, farmer and farm hand, creamery workers moving churns and two poses of a porter and a creamery worker sneaking a ciggy break. We've also scanned the churns and will have them with lids on and off. 21 1

RMweb Premium Siberian Snooper Posted September 24, 2021 RMweb Premium Share Posted September 24, 2021 (edited) Hi Alan, I look forward to seeing at least the pair sitting on the conical churns appear in your catalogue, also just the conical churns, I have a few 6 wheeled GW siphons on order, which will require loads. Many thanks. Edited September 24, 2021 by Siberian Snooper 1

Did you do any of them in the way full churns were moved (i.e. at an angle and 'spun' along the ground by the person moving them?). I used to love watching that at my grandparents farm especially when the Jobs lorry driver was loading them as fast as he could manage.

They are great figures and I look forward to investigating the Colour of the Welly Boots; I have pics of some of the Staff at SJ Dairy so that should help. Mostly White Coveralls is going to be quite easy painting. Got to get myself scanned one day so as to be a Spotter on the Station or Footbridge! If you look at the two figures immediately behind him you can see they both have two churns to hand. So it seems that that was a skill that was in general use. 3
ardbealach
Have just received my group of five creamery workers from Modelu. Great modelling! Now I must get out my paint box, and paint the figures in time for them to be set to work in the creamery at 'Whithorn', and their appearance at GETS Milton Keynes this coming weekend. But just like Mallard60022 I too have problems in the choice of colours for the outfits for these figures. Agreed white overcoats, but is it black wellington boots or white ones? Whether black or white, [or green? ] - I am sure whatever I do there will be an expert out there who will put me right! [Alisdair] 2

I'm making plans to create more themed sets like these, such as coal merchants etc.
alanbuttler
Thanks to Dawn and Teddy who we scanned at the recent Severn Valley O Gauge Get Together, we have a number of new figures available suitable for the 1940s. RMweb Gold Mikkel Posted October 5, 2021 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 5, 2021 You didn't happen to scan Teddy sitting in a tree watching trains, did you? I suppose not. Not to worry, I'll see if I can modify one of the two sitting poses. Although now that I know his name that suddenly seems an unpleasant thing to do! 1
