Do you use the Bending jig for the uncoupler tails ?

I need to reshape several of the ones in use to not catch the sleepers.

No I just use pliers and by eye for the droppers

After an hour or so this afternoon she is starting to look the part, a few hatch door handles to add and then she nearly ready for a first coat of primer.
The top two steps each side have been made from scratch as not included in the kit neither is the air tank I've added under the bufferbeam leaving a gap in the middle for the NEM coupling.

Very nice Muz - brings back memories of a youthful  visit to Southampton Docks with my dad to officially meet a great aunt arriving from Australia but which also involved a Docks Permit and, by implication a shed permit, so i saw 6 of them in almost brand new condition shunting in the docks area.   Just to  complete the visit's interesting items my dad bought an evening 'paper from an old chap selling them in the town and that 'paper seller would fairly certainly have been a certain Frederick Fleet who sold 'papers in Southampton after leaving a life at sea.

A similar story from me too, but they were 08' or 09's (?) for me.  I still have a few family members there, one of whom used to own the *"Duke of Wellington in Shirley High Street", I seem to remember the bar top had sixpences inlaid into it. His dad used to own the chippy opposite Vospers too.  Happy distant days.

I think your geography has gone astray Tim; the Duke of Welligton is in Bugle Street in the Old Town.  It's bar top used to be covered in pennies.  There are also the Wellington Arms and the Duchess of Wellington, both near Shirley Road/High St.   This is the Duke (of Boots, as it's known by some) in '85.1318264305_Dukeinsnowjan85010.jpg.a93278d57bc2852b8bd490a4f85c7ec1.jpg

Further progress unique to No.11 front fairings, new cab, safety valve position moved, next task new smoke deflectors.

Back dating a Hornby Merchant Navy to 21c11 as she was in 1947.

Close of play today, a glimpse of what is to come, smoke deflectors soldered up and temporarily located in place (will be painted separately). 21c11 in 1947 condition.

Are you going to serve it with roast potatoes, mixed veggies and gravy?  Oh, and don't forget the Yorkshire puddings!  After all, it is Sunday!

hehe, not cooking as such but a handy dust free and warm place to cure the paint after spraying.
