w124bob
Love the weathering on the #203. What's the 'original' RR company livery?Atlas Lehigh & Hudson River #23 from their latest run, seems to have sold out very quickly I've waited nearly 18 months for mine. Number 23 went CR as 2073 which is what my version is based on, in reality the loco went to Alco friendly A&M where it still is as their 52.http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/locoPicture.aspx?id=107008

JAMO
I like the A&M. It's a very nice system located in a wonderful scenery with great Alcos!!!!
Dr Gerbil-Fritters
I forgot this one earlier. It's not the new Atlas, but a painfully hand painted and decalled Rivarossi....

mandealco
Great work on the L&HR C-420, very realistic result. Nice work on the A&M C-420 also. My N-Scale C-628 is nearly done, just a bit of soot to be added to the roof and a final clear coat. Cheers Steve NZ
w124bob
Plenty of early years A&M action here,http://www.trainvideodepot.com/DVD-Arkansas-&-Missouri-Railroad_AM-1 as the dvd starts just a year after the railroad came into exsistance.

w124bob
Here is GMRC 405, a few added details and a very light weathering. Doesn't get out much now but I have a trio of Rivarossi carriages to make up a passable Green Mountain train.
DanielB
My Alcos in various scales: HO: MBRR #529, a Bachmann Sound-Value S4 Action shot! MBRR #932, a Bachmann Sound-Value RS3 N Scale: SOU (INT) RS3 #39 - Atlas/Kato undec. model painted in Tuxedo colours. SP #5721 - Atlas/Kato, soon to be repainted to SOU #11 - which I believe was the only RS11 the Southern owned, inherited from a subsidiary. I've also got another RS3 and an RS1, but I'm struggling to find photos of them. O Scale: Weaver RS3 in Southern "Green Tuxedo" scheme. I'll build a layout for this great beastie at some point! Zomboid
You're going to repaint a black widow loco? Scandalous.
DanielB
You try finding an N scale RS11 in the UK! But yes, I've repainted a lot of cool looking locos already - my SD45 was Conrail, my RS1 was Chattahoochee Industrial, my F3 was D&RGW, my 44T was an unlettered yellow, KCS GP7 was an Ugly Paintscheme (erm.. Union Pacific), and so on and so forth.
Allegheny1600
KCS GP7 was an Ugly Paintscheme (erm.. Union Pacific), and so on and so forth. Definitely an improvement!! Well done, that man.

jasond
There was a pic, on one of the sites I was munching my lunch to, of an ex-Southern RS3 (admittedly in the black livery) switching its new owner's industry. Even less of an excuse now...?
SD45T-2
You try finding an N scale RS11 in the UK! Union Pacific), and so on and so forth. There's nothing whatsoever wrong with the Yellow Peril's livery, it's the actual railroad that's the problem. Zomboid
Latest addition to the ZSRR fleet - Atlas RS11. The sound in it is pretty average compared to my HH660, probably due to the speaker. It sounds nice on idle & low power, but wind it up and it gets quite tinny. Runs very nicely though. Also showing off my latest bit of static grassing (the area behind the loco). Still quite a lurid green because it would look worse if I had a totally different colour on the other side of the tracks, but this was done with an electrograsserthingy.
jasond
In true 'Alco stuff ending up in Montreal Locomotive Works' tradition, how about an M420? Yes it's an etched kit with brass castings in O-Scale. No I don't know when it might be available. Speaking of O-scale, Atlas have announced a rework of Weaver's hi-hood RS11. It's in their 2017 All Scales catalogue at www.atlaso.com. Edited February 9, 2017 by jasond

RMweb Premium skipepsi Posted February 10, 2017 RMweb Premium Share Posted February 10, 2017 I have fallen out with one of my Alcos a SOO Line RS 27. It made Alco noises and crept forward under its own control, then it stopped and won't move at all. It appears to have died my Alco is dead and has shuffled off this mortal coil an ex Alco etc etc.
