What Alco do you have?

Love the weathering on the #203. What's the 'original' RR company livery?

Atlas Lehigh & Hudson River #23 from their latest run, seems to have sold out very quickly I've waited nearly 18 months for mine. Number 23 went CR as 2073 which is what my version is based on, in reality the loco went to Alco friendly A&M where it still is as their 52.

SP #5721 - Atlas/Kato, soon to be repainted to SOU #11 - which I believe was the only RS11 the Southern owned, inherited from a subsidiary.

I've also got another RS3 and an RS1, but I'm struggling to find photos of them.

O Scale:

Weaver RS3 in Southern "Green Tuxedo" scheme.

I'll build a layout for this great beastie at some point! :D

You try finding an N scale RS11 in the UK! :P

But yes, I've repainted a lot of cool looking locos already - my SD45 was Conrail, my RS1 was Chattahoochee Industrial, my F3 was D&RGW, my 44T was an unlettered yellow, KCS GP7 was an Ugly Paintscheme (erm.. Union Pacific), and so on and so forth. :D

There's nothing whatsoever wrong with the Yellow Peril's livery, it's the actual railroad that's the problem.

Latest addition to the ZSRR fleet - Atlas RS11.

The sound in it is pretty average compared to my HH660, probably due to the speaker. It sounds nice on idle & low power, but wind it up and it gets quite tinny. Runs very nicely though.

Also showing off my latest bit of static grassing (the area behind the loco). Still quite a lurid green because it would look worse if I had a totally different colour on the other side of the tracks, but this was done with an electrograsserthingy.

In true 'Alco stuff ending up in Montreal Locomotive Works' tradition, how about an M420?  Yes it's an etched kit with brass castings in O-Scale.  No I don't know when it might be available.

Speaking of O-scale, Atlas have announced a rework of Weaver's hi-hood RS11.  It's in their 2017 All Scales catalogue at www.atlaso.com.

I have fallen out with one of my Alcos a SOO Line RS 27. It made Alco noises and crept forward under its own control, then it stopped and won't move at all. It appears to have died my Alco is dead and has shuffled off this mortal coil an ex Alco etc etc.
