RMweb Gold The Fatadder Posted October 7, 2016 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 7, 2016 After 10+ years of use my Badger Crescendo airbrush is showing its age, more so a couple of parts seem to have gone missing. So I've decided it's about time I invested in a new one, however I have no idea as to what the market is like now. Probably looking to spend a max of 100-120£, and must have a separate gravity feed cup so I can mix paint off the brush. it will be used with a massivly overspeced draper 30l compressor. Looking to use for both painting locos and coaches, along with weathering.

milocomarty
For budget quality I recommend Sparmax airbrushes, good quality for the money. But in your price range I would check on Harder & Steenbeck Evolution. Nice airbrush and real easy to clean.. https://www.air-craft.net/acatalog/Harder-Steenbeck-Airbrushes.html this site is just for showing what they have, also the Ultra is a pretty neat airbrush.. Quarryscapes
Did you mean separate siphon feed? I can't see how a mixing in a gravity cup off brush would be anything but a mess!

Not if it's one of these: https://airbrushes.com/product_info.php?cPath=400_403_1_9_47&products_id=21 It is a bit beyond the budget, though.

Thanks for that, it might be exactly what I'm after. Stretching the budget to the 155£ eilienes are asking for it might be worth while.
Gene
I really realy love my Badger 105 Patriot. My second favourite is my Badger Krome followed by that very Iwata. Edited October 9, 2016 by Gene

There are several sizes of cup and bottle available to use with this device, in addition to the one that comes with it: https://airbrushes.com/product_info.php?cPath=400_14_413_54&products_id=60 https://airbrushes.com/product_info.php?cPath=400_14_413_55&products_id=43 https://airbrushes.com/product_info.php?cPath=400_14_413_55&products_id=
RMweb Gold The Fatadder Posted October 16, 2017 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted October 16, 2017 Can’t believe I asked this over a year ago, in the end I took the cheap option and ordered components to overhaul my Badger 750, the intention being to do some spraying and see how I get on before eventually upgrading. In the end so far this past year I still haven’t touched it, with the only painting I’ve finished coming from Halfords spray cans. At some point I will finally dig it out in anger...
