Great news - I've been looking to extend my warwell rake for a while. Do the 'new MOD variations' mentioned above include the correct widened decks for the modern versions? Trains4U
Well, well, well... As you probably know, we have an ever expanding range of military vehicles to complement our warflat wagons... but our latest were possibly a bit too big to fit... Well, the stowage boxes can be removed to keep in gauge, but why bother when they will happily sit on a Warwell! Hatton's have very kindly agreed to extend their run of their OO warflat wagons to include two additional modern Warwell wagons, that will be exclusive to us at Trains4U. Artwork will be supplied once finalised, but we have commissioned the following wagons: KWA 95540 in green with yellow ends KWB 95527 With Green ends and stencilled data in white. These will be slightly more expensive than the Hatton's wagons at £27.50 each. This is to cover additional artwork and sample costs as the production run is quite small The wagons will be delivered to us as part of the main Hatton's run in early 2024. Would you consider producing a run of Warwell infills for AFVs etc. please? They would be very useful! In anticipation, Graeme

Trains4U
If/when we get around to doing the Warrior, we will also draw up the cradles to go with them, but we don’t have any immediate plans.

When you say fitted with, these are presumably just loaded on with a forklift prior to use for those vehicles that need them?

Hi Gareth, is there a reason Warrior isn’t on your immediate to do list? In the early 2000’s we seemed to shift a lot of them around and it was easy to tell a train carrying Warrior as it ran with an Out of Gauge code on our patch as it had an Oppos restriction through one station so the opposite line has to be blocked due to the slew of the cradle / Warrior. 1

RMweb Gold Hattons Dave Posted July 12, 2023 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted July 12, 2023 Hi everyone, Pre-ordering your Warwell wagons is essential to ensure that production can go ahead. Some models have not yet reached our required order threshold, so if you have not yet placed a pre-order we recommend doing so as soon as possible or these items may have to be cancelled. Pre-order yours for £25 each, HERE Affected models: H4-WW-006B 50t 'Warwell' military flat with diamond frame bogies in BR grey - M360335 H4-WW-007A 50t 'Warwell' military flat with diamond frame bogies in BR brown - M360332 H4-WW-021 50t 'Warwell' military flat with diamond frame bogies in MOD 1960s green - 83020
RMweb Gold big jim Posted July 12, 2023 RMweb Gold Share Posted July 12, 2023 There does seem to be an abundance of the older variation ‘diamond frame’ wagons available on the used market for a reasonable price (both hattons and Oxford models) but you very rarely see any of the more modern varieties come up 2nd hand, im glad to see none of those are on the ‘affected’ list as I’ve got a few on order, maybe if the newer variations appear to be selling well or sold out then a few different running numbers could be produced at the expense of the slow sellers above? 3
Trains4U
Our exclusive wagons will be appearing early in 2024, so we have started adding appropriate loads to our Trains4U military range...
