RMweb Premium Neil Posted October 18, 2016 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 18, 2016 I wonder if the collective wisdom of RMweb could suggest where I might find a straight or gently tapered chimney to replace the spark arrestor version that the standard model is blessed with? Many thanks.
Horsetan
... for Weinert parts you'll need to get a 2nd mortgage on your house Some of the small castings aren't too expensive. It's the assemblies (e.g. Einheits- cabs) and full kits that come with daunting price tags. About £400 now for the SBB Tm2/2 shunting tractor. TonyA
Would the chimney from Fleischmann 400001 fit? That is available as a spare from Fleischmann, part no. 19400001, at €7.75 (plus postage). It is listed here. http://www.fleischmann.de/doc/ET/2/DE/400071_13142.pdf Tony
RMweb Premium Neil Posted October 19, 2016 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted October 19, 2016 Thanks for the suggestions, I'm particularly taken with the Fleischmann suggestion Tony as I reckon that it wouldn't be too much trouble to fit it to the base of the current chimney.
