I need to add all the bolts and nuts to this metal grain bin before to paint it.

Anyway, I've built another bin, in wood that time. Yes another one, to justify the future large trafic of grain cars on the layout.

The base is made from an old card calendar. I used 4 mm x 4 mm wooden strips and stirrers.

Refreshing to see someone thinking this way: too often we see minuscule industries served by multiple loads every day.

Better start digging a bigger basement

The best thing about a 44tonner is that it looks pretty good with just a single freight car, which means one can start small and then build onto the collection...

Yep, we all start that way - "I only need one loco and a few freight cars".

10 locos and 30 cars later.... :sarcastichand: :sungum: :locomotive:

I'm all set on that front. I've got 5 locos and about 30 freight cars. That's all I'm ever gonna need. :)

Eh, if I want to build my HO layout to go alongside my O scale, plus have room to store all my rolling stock, AND my wargaming models and airsoft gear, I need to limit what I buy from now on. :sungum::sungum:

That’s easily solved: ditch the H0.

And maybe some of the other non-railway stuff, too... ;)

The wooden bin is now finished. Not exactly.... I need to make an advertising plate on it. Maybe Kent or I don't know

The roof is made of card. The paint is acrylic and weathering washes from AK Interactive and Vallero.
