This was a really good issue.  I especially enjoyed the article on Dovington Camp; specialist and industrial railways have an even greater variety of structures and locomotives than the main line and this fantastic model is no exception.

Just wondering - as I took up the offer of a free Corgi car - when these will be shipped

The Corgi Cars are being shipped this week and next.

I hadn't seen BRM for a month or two and was rather surprised to find the paper quality somewhat poorer than it used to be. Has it been like this for long?

The paper quality hasn't changed for 2 years.

The Corgi Mini arrived today - I found that the postie had left it in a "ditch full of leaves", not an unusual location for the real thing!

Its a pity its a Corgie, otherwise I could say that its a dinky little model!  :jester:

I must proofread, I must proofread, I must proofread, I must proofread, I must proofread, I must proofread...

Its a pity its a Corgie,

Does that mean the model is a bit of a dog?

Well, I'm sure the paper on the cover is less glossy. For the second month running I've managed to tear it when detaching the "free" DVD.

Yup me too; I did flag that up when BRM first started using the clear tacky substance on the new matt finish, as too much of it results in stripping the finish off, and they then used less which was ok, but today I ended up with a white patch on the cover even after several minutes' effort!!  (the quality of the paper remains the same; it's the finish that's changed)
