torikoos
Oh dear, I think the EMD thread might get pretty big. A very common builder and lots of good models around. My EMD fleet at this time: SW900E (1x) SW1500 (2x) GP9 (4x) (and one on pre-order) SD9 (2x) F7 (A+B) (1x) F9 (A+B) (1x) E9 (1x) GP15-1 (2x) GP30 (1x) GP35 (2x) GP38-2 (2x) GP40 (3x) SD40R (2x) SD40T-2 (2x) All but one of the SD9's and both GP15-1 are Southern Pacific / Cotton Belt, and the F9 (A+B) is BN. mikjd
The O scale version of 'Cannonising' .......... Atlasising in this case. A soon to be N&W High Hood SD45 (they had a single low hood, rebuilt after a smash). Still to sort out the correct high/low brake cylinder trucks and the pilots ...................... Alcanman
My latest Atlas GP40-2 with ESU Loksound, Conrail #3358, has now been weathered and is seeing plenty of switching action at Westborough Terminal. RMweb Premium steam-driven boy Posted January 8, 2017 RMweb Premium Share Posted January 8, 2017 Hi, Added to the roster mid-week so behaved myself with pre-Chrimbo spending , had to await better daylight to manage vaguely passable snappery: Thank you Mr Kato Santa. Dr Gerbil-Fritters
If your loco is butt ugly, be sure to paint it in a discrete non-eye catching livery so as not to draw attention to it.
Zomboid
I suppose it makes me a bit odd that I prefer Irish EMDs to the North American ones, then (at least second gen onwards). 141s in particular.
Dr Gerbil-Fritters
Not at all, Zom old chum. They look quirky but when you crank the go handle, they howl just like their big American brothers....
Chris M
I've posted this in another thread but I decided to post it here as well to make sure you EMD fans don't miss it. I've always liked my GP38s. irishmail
Here are my EMD's that I use on my Campbell Riverside layout. I have just recently acquired a GP-35 Canadian Pacific and GP-50 Norfolk and Southern. also have Irish 3x 141/181 class, IE 071 & NIR 111. *Edited to remove 2 pics of GE locos uploaded in error. (Dash-8's SP & BC Rail). Edited May 22, 2017 by irishmail
Chris M
Three more EMDs out in the garden. If you think this is an odd mix let me explain. The Quinton Line I saw a short line somewhere in the USA. It gets by running freight and it’s income is supplemented by tourist trains. Here we see the luxury tourist passenger train being held while the recently restored to Rock Island livery GP40 hauls a log train through. The SD70 awaiting its next turn of duty is on loan from the UP who have lots of these in store at the moment and are only too happy to lease a few out. So, all perfectly believable! DanielB
I just realised I've not posted this here... Atlas O scale GP35. High hood, Alco trucks. Going back over my previous contributions to this thread, you can see below that I also built that elusive O scale layout too! RMweb Premium steam-driven boy Posted November 11, 2018 RMweb Premium Share Posted November 11, 2018 Hi, My Kato N scale SD70ACe arrived on Friday but once again had to await better daylight to get passable snappery... There is a full description and a 'view larger' graphic of the various livery elements here: https://www.up.com/media/releases/171019-spirit-of-up.htm Regards, Gerry.

JAMO
Hello all! I'm looking for Kato HO yellow (Santa Fe) SD-40 handrails. Can you help me please?
Chris M
My EMDs have to earn their corn. My line is a tourist line set in the present day and the locos have been painted in heritage liveries. Well thats my excuse anyway! These locos are dc and run off track power. Snow doesn't cause a problem but if the air temperature is below about 1 degree centigrade ice immediately forms on the cleared rails making running impossible. Chris M
The same pair in the summer, still working hard. It might be a tourist line but it still has the odd little freight train! These two must be my favourites as they seem to get filmed a lot.
