Can the blanking plugs be brought as spares?  Assume the standard release Bachmann ones are no good, given the lighting arrangement on these units.  I spilt coffee on my two...

Cheers

Send a Stamped addressed small jiffy bag & 2 X ist Class stamps and you can have them.

@charliepetty Ooh ooh nice!

Is there any chance that you may bring them out in Arriva Wales colours in a second run - especially as the S Wales area appears to be the last major stronghold of the Pacers?

Cheers,

Philip

Urm, I’m still waiting for my other EMT 156 as I seemed to have gained a Provincial one :wacko::wacko:.  Just give me a bit of time and I’ll pay you for the EMT one you’ve kindly put aside :D.

@charliepetty The Class 142 looks great - though still think you should do a Class 155 next ;)

I think a Class 155 would be pretty risky that Hornby could dive in with 2x Class 153s backdated to be a 155. I'm still surprised they haven't so far, but they have got previous.

True, though you could apply the same logic to the Class 156 and the 142 Realtrack are now doing plus doubt any Hornby version would be as high a specification.

A 155 could be a canny move, for a small class in Provincial days they were seen quite widely across the west, West Midlands and north-west, and the small West Yorkshire sub fleet ran coast to coast and are still going strong having worn some attractive colour schemes.  In any case, I doubt Hornby would be even slightly interested in doing a 155, they seem to have a decidedly bi-polar attitude to non-water boilers and in any case a 155 to the same standards as the Realtrack 156 would be superior in every way, not least because it would be able to have DCC fitted without having to do major surgery and would have decent sound.  Hornby only pay lip service to DCC and managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory with their otherwise brilliant Class 87 over the issue.

So, if there is any chance longer term of a Realtrack 155, I'll be up for a Provo liveried one.  Although quite how you will model the doors opening whilst running (an early fault with the class) will be interesting.

I reckon the tooling could be adapted to allow a 153 and 155 (blanked cab window inserts etc) to be produced. I refuse to buy the Hornby 153 because it just does not look right, particularly around the cab end.

Also, aren't the bogies on a 153/155 the same as those used on a 156? One less item to tool up ;)

We will not be doing a Class 155 sorry:

We have to do:

12 versions of Class 142's to do.

6   versions of a 156 to do.

4 versions of a 143 to do.

4 versions of a 144 to do.

4 versions of a ### to do

2 versions of a ### to do.

Very nice.

I assume the delay was to allow the cad engineers in China enough time to inspect the boat loads of scrap pacers arriving from Sims Metals at the local Chinese dockyards to get the measurements correct ?

:)

You got the right numbers in the wrong order...

It should be

4 versions of a 104 to do (blue/grey, Blue, Green, Mexican bean)

2 versions of a 141 to do. (cream/green, red/cream)

Hi Charlie,

It's been a few weeks since I sent the SAE, appreciate you're busy, any joy with being able to pass out the blanking plugs.

All the best

Cheers

Whats the name please, as I got a SAE Padded envelope about 3 weeks ago, it had no note saying what is was for, was that you.    'From Newton Abbott'

If it is sorry but I am talking to 50 people per week and despatching 60+ parcels per week.

I know this is a Class 156 thread and I’m well aware that people want a whole bunch of new releases in various liveries.  I know Hornby have done it but I’d love to see Realtrack do 156480 done the RAF 100 livery.  I think it would be outstanding and just fly (Forgive the pun) off the shelves.

Apart from that, I can’t wait to see the Railtrack’s Class 142 in the flesh.

4 Versions of a 180 (First Barbie, First Wavy Gravy, Hell Trains and Grand Central...)
2 Versions of a 175 (First Barbie and Arriva)

There again the Mystic Wombat's Crystal Ball might be in need of some Windowleen.
