two tone green
I am with Lee as well on this. Will be watching with great interest. Spent many an hour watching the locos glide around the depot with little effort but with at times lots of exhaust smoke.

Simond
There was an article in MRJ a few years back about using a disco smoke machine to add atmosphere to a shed layout Interesting... Best Simon

RMweb Gold PjKing1 Posted December 19, 2016 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted December 19, 2016 I've often thought about how to adapt these vapour cigarette things (I've never smoked so don't know much about them) but they do produce good clag, I was wanting to try an install one in the bridge on ELJ for when trains went under. Some kind of smoke machine/vapour ciggy could easily be used in a servicing shed I would of though? You can get diesel smelling oil for the smoke generators to Cheers

two tone green
Like wise. Only ever seen it once on a loco I have owned and it was a prefitted one so not guilty of aiding the blue smoke to escape.
RMweb Gold PjKing1 Posted December 20, 2016 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted December 20, 2016 I had it once with a Hornby 86, I forgot it was still on the track when I'd changed over to dcc, quite a bit of smoke and a fried 86 Cheers

I'll be numbering my big blue 40 the same as I did my little blue 40 D270 https://flic.kr/p/axJdrL Also I think I'm going to take the plunge and order one of King x's more regular visitors whilst there is still a couple available, can you guess what it'll be Andy? leopardml2341
I was thinking more along the lines of this Ah, but have you considered one of these: http://www.littleloco.co.uk/product/bth-type-1-br-class-15/ The price with sound is only £15 more than a silent Brush 2 and they did go there: http://www.rail-online.co.uk/p535299799/h4F414472#h4f41447a

RMweb Gold 5BarVT Posted December 21, 2016 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 21, 2016 A great photo indeed. I went searching for KX stabling point photos some time ago and that one gives lots of detail that you don't normally get. I would put it later than '73 though as I think it was '76 before head codes were discontinued, and a while after that before Domino replacements came in.
