RMweb Premium St Enodoc Posted October 27, 2018 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 27, 2018 Some blue diesels have arrived at Tinner's Forge. 20181027_133114.jpg 20181027_132221.jpg Has it moved to Scotland then?
RMweb Gold Stubby47 Posted October 28, 2018 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted October 28, 2018 Hi Rich, The letters were laser cut by a local entrepreneur using mdf: jimagination.com He found a suitable Celtic font and kindly added the cross as well. Hi James, You are quite right on both counts - the errors will be addressed. Hi John, I guessing it's the Class 26 that's off patch - I'll have a rummage in the loco box again. A blue Class 22 would be nice, but funds don't stretch that far at the moment.
RMweb Gold Stubby47 Posted October 28, 2018 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted October 28, 2018 Have got a 25 on the weathering table and found an already weathered 25 in the loft, so the 26 can be put away again.

RMweb Gold Stubby47 Posted November 2, 2018 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted November 2, 2018 Just seeing what the new name board might look like - not sure if it needs another coat of green first, or leave the distressed paint look.

EKR
Leave it distressed. More in keeping with the atmosphere of the layout.

Bill_J
An excellent model Stu. This is exactly what we need to show - with a modest financial outlay, a few months of modelling fun and a small amount of space - what can be achieved. Whilst we all dream of building our Magnus Opus, we could be getting on with these, mini model railways, and find ourselves with a little gem like this. Anyone with a slight interest in model railways could do a lot worse than look at this particular section of RMWeb. Regards Bill 2 3

Most impressed with the visiting class 66,,,,, on a time warp I assume!!!!! Shall see you at Hayle at Christmas as a punter.... Cheers Bill
RMweb Gold Stubby47 Posted November 4, 2018 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted November 4, 2018 Thanks Bill. TF is like the Tardis - bends timey-wimey as required. The 66 was a little large, as would be a King or a Class 40, but they are all welcome to visit.

What it needs is one that doesn't have all the edge effects because it you look at the main picture it has a very good dated effect. It's almost like you need to crop the edges out It sort of works better I think Edited February 27, 2019 by KNP
Crisis Rail
Liking this and following - the Forge sits very well indeed. Even better with Type 2 Traction of the right sorts. Ian (Kettle Free)
