Tinner's Forge

Phew!

Luckily, the concept of building like a brick you-know-what has proved its worth.

Apart from a very minor corner of the frame damage, no other issues.

The backscene was loose anyway, awaiting refitting to get rid of a kink, the Forge is fine, the little shed is also loose, but has lost the chimney pot.

Must take more care...

However, a relatively fortunate outcome but still an unfortunate moment to say the least...........

Looks better than ever, I think. No need to bring any stock for the exhibition, it's a pleasure to watch as it is.

(OK, so the punters might complain a bit!).

Trestles - check

Layout - check

Drapes - check

Power leads - check

Rolling stock - check

Scenic dressing items - check

Controllers - check

Checklist - check

Hardest part was finding things after 2 years of not being used...

Showers, breakfast, and looking forward to a day of exhibiting again ( ooh, and the bacon butties at 9:30!).

If you're passing, stop by and say hello.

Had a great day at the first exhibition in 2 years.

Some of the stock was a little reluctant to play properly,  but locos and layout behaved well.

Some pics.

I can report that it ran fine when I saw it and Stu had to actually move the name board to show me the only real damage apart from a slight tear in the backscene. A lovely layout and very nicely modelled. His scratch built models are excellent as well. He didn't mention caravans or toilets once:jester:. Simon

Hi

Good to see you yesterday & today & have the opportunity for a good chat.

Glad the layout ran well......

& your bespoke buildings looked  really good as well....

Hopefully that takes off....Should do with that quality of build......

That chocolate cake was certainly rather good as well....

Cheers Bill
