Bachmann Rep Limited Editions

What about this for a case of slightly different from the standard ?

attachicon.gif47830 Charter ECS ex-Heaton York 130190.jpg

There were a handful of newly renumbered 47/8s running around in 1989/90 that didn't get the full repaint treatment and had some interesting but subtle variations on the theme of normal Large Logo....  Could even be done with Kernow-style weathering a-la 47537...

I wonder how well it would do if realised at the same time as some nice white roof Charter mk.1s..... :-)

Or, if the folks at Bachmann are getting truly sick of us all bleating about "this number" over "that number"..... what about this one ?

attachicon.gif47665 Bristol 060989.jpg

Yeah, well.... maybe a "livery variation" that only lasted 2 days is a little much to go for :-)

I thought I'd heard an issue with producing the Charter Intercity Mk1s was that they were mostly First Opens of a different diagram to the one Bachmann produces ... so they'd likely need a tooling change. But they might be the same diagram that Hornby tooled up

They are indeed the version of the FO recently tooled by Hornby. A no-brainer for the 2019 catalogue...…….in theory at least.

Problem is the lack of a buffet & brake (mk1 bck or mk2 bfk), but they could do a dark roof intercity (Oxley based) as a rake easiliy enough, using the BSK, SK, TSO and FO.

Wow 37025 looks fantastic! Hopefully after repairs it shall be back in Colas NRIM trains soon (if not already - I’ve not checked in the last two weeks).

Just need Bachmann to release a few ‘barrier’ TSO Mk2F and a PLPR coach in NR yellow.....

If honest, I could not wait and got myself two superb Britannia Pacific Models MENTOR and Ultrasonic coaches to be sandwiched between previous Model Rail limited editions and a BPM barrier Mk2 with my Colas and DRS 37s.

37032 looks good. Any idea when that one will be available please?

Hi all,

Does anyone know of any retailers that have a Bachmann Colas Rail 47727 Rep Edition available?

Thank you in advance.

Several on eBay as I was interested in getting one but bailed.

Thanks for the reply.

I will have a look. See I have been deliberating for the past few weeks as to if I wanted another Colas 47. I bought 727 when released last year and I opened it to test it a few months ago and I am really pleased with it. That got me thinking about buying another to renumber to 739 or 749. From this thread I gather that the most logical answer would be to renumber to 739 as 749 has some noticeable differences.

Check out my post #87, it gives you the info you need about renumbering - basically you can’t due to different boiler port arrangements.

37 055 arrived this morning and what a stunner it is. Just running in on my layout as I type.

Yes I Agree just picked mine up from Antics this morning.

It is a smart looking Loco.
