Bachmann Rep Limited Editions

Modelling 262 would require amending the nose ends too as 142 has the prominent clips above the headcode boxes and 262 doesn't... probably a bigger task than removing the white arrows unfortunately.

Mine will be turning into 262 in due course, simple bit of modelling hopefully.

The nose ends are swappable on the Bachmann 37.

Rainbow Railways sell replacement 37 nose ends, but not the one needed.

Ebay often turns up nose ends for 37’s, already painted.

Is there any news on when this is likely to be released as I can't find anything on the Bachmann website?

Thanks.

For the southern area:

I think 416 only carried its unofficial name for around 6 months (mid 93 to early 94). Personally I would have preferred 426 Mt Vesuvius which carried its name for far longer (good base for a renumber however) .

So is there only 3 areas getting the new 37 rep editions ?

As there is nothing yet on the Bachmann website my guess would be there are 2 more to be announced

I thought these would have been 47's to try and undermine the new Heljan release though by taking some of the remaining unique liveries like 47803

37275 is a nice choice in metals livery and will add further interest alongside the 37/5’s and 37/9 I already have. With the BDA’s, BAA’s, scrap wagons and future BBA rake the metals fleet will have plenty of work to do!

cheers

Mark

Most likely will, at the end of the day its about trying to flog a few more loco's.  Incidentally a Class 37 tooling thats been around for X many years, at the same price as a newly tooled and highly detailed Class 90!  Personally, still hoping for an Accurascale Class 37!

It was named April 1993 to April 1994, during which it was largely in the Cornish china clay pool.

Thanks for the information. Wonder which miserable sod painted them out?

Do you know how long 37419 had its unofficial name Mt Pinatubo? Appears it may have been even less than 416?

Like 426, 415 still carried it unofficial name Mt Etna into summer 1995 at least...

37419 went on in July 1993 and lasted less than a year. Legend has it that they were painted over after another depot complained they were in poor taste following the devastating 1991 eruption.

37415 and 37426 kept their names until painted in EWS in 1996 and 1997 respectively.
