GordonC
Isn't Bachmann's version of 814 also incorrect for 831 as it had a raised plated over headcode box at one end? https://www.flickr.com/photos/blue-diesels/5427939429/ wow thats a headcode variation I'd never noticed before! good spotting!! girlinb
Bachmann s 814 isn’t suitable for any renumbers that are accurate as it has more yellow round the cab than all the rest

I decided to keep it as is and live with it, as I’ve 20 odd Lima 47’s which are much worse, but equally look ok. Meanwhile, might stick this over in the Bachmann 47 thread so as not to go off on tangent with other limited edition 47s...
RMweb Premium DRS Crewe On A Mission Posted April 3, 2018 RMweb Premium Share Posted April 3, 2018 If anyone wants a Bachmann DRS 47805 model if you Ebay search "Bachmann 47805" a result will come up showing £136.95 plus £4.00 postage. There are two left available. Hope this helps.

Somewhat annoying that Bachmann have picked a loco with this modification preventing an easy renumber!
DY444
OT but every time I look at the Bachmann index and see this thread I think "Brilliant! Bachmann are going to produce a REP to go with the Kernow 4TC". Just about fall for it every time although I have now managed to stop opening the thread in excited expectation. I appreciate that this is most probably the onset of senility but it possibly provides a little insight into how thread titles might not be as self-explanatory as they may seem to the OP. (Also picked up a nice weathered Tata steel class 60 from the 2nd hand cabinet)

Excellant stock of US railroad items too. Edited April 12, 2018 by adb968008
RMweb Premium DRS Crewe On A Mission Posted April 13, 2018 RMweb Premium Share Posted April 13, 2018 Not sure if this has been posted but DRS 37425 ‘Sir Robert McAlpine/Concrete Bob’ has been announced as south east sales area exclusive. Two versions are listed 32-370NFDS (Sound) and 32-370NF (non sound) http://news.Bachmann.co.uk/2018/04/1162/ Thank you very much for posting this. I didn't know about this one until now. Typical though for it to be announced now that I have already renumbered a 405 model to 425. I would have preferred the Limited Edition but not to worry. 159220
Brilliant! Due Aug. RRP £164.95 But, we need some MK2Fs in DRS. Please Bachmann please! Surely! Bachmann says: Initially used in ‘Top and Tail’ mode with another Class 37/4 on the rear of the train, these 3-4 carriage trains were formed of former BR MK2F stock outshopped in DRS livery. These additional trains run by Northern Rail/DRS have improved the seating capacity on the route and allowed BNFL workers to commute to Sellafield by train. 37425 is still active with DRS, currently working on the Norwich to Great Yarmouth/Lowestoft passenger diagrams. I have had the money saved for 2x TSO and 1x BSO Mk2F in DRS since the Mk2F was overhauled at Eastleigh Works in late 2012/early 2013 and the model Mk2F was announced in 2013. http://www.carlswatson.com/Trains/Galleries%202013/Galleries%20201301/20130104EastleighWorks/drsmk2overhaulseastleighworks4thjanuary2013.html http://www.carlswatson.com/Trains/Galleries%202013/Galleries%20201302/20130208EastleighWorks/bay3southeastleighworks8thfebruary2013.html http://www.carlswatson.com/Trains/Galleries%202013/Galleries%20201302/20130208EastleighWorks/tso6122eastleighworks8thfebruary20132.html http://www.carlswatson.com/Trains/Galleries%202013/Galleries%20201302/20130201EastleighWorks/tso6117eastleighworks1stfebruary2013.html http://www.carlswatson.com/Trains/Galleries%202013/Galleries%20201302/20130219EastleighWorks/tso6001eastleighworks19thfebruary20132.html Though 5971, 6001, 6008, 6117, 6122 and 9525 were some of the first. In Norwich, I think the favourite is the more recent 5937 which is often with 37425 & 37405 (of course, 37419 and 37422 see a lot of action) Edited April 13, 2018 by 159220
martin_l_jones
Very nice, but a real shame it's not one of the latest Compass liveried 37's, unless that's still to come from another area !! 159220
Very nice, but a real shame it's not one of the latest Compass liveried 37's, unless that's still to come from another area !! This is the most curious of posts. By latest Compass to do mean as worn on 37423? As then this cannot be modelled as Bachmann do not tool the WiPac lights. Seen here: If you mean the Compass 'Green-fade' as per (DRS have discontinued this application, and further units shall be as per 37423): This livery above is worn on: 37038 - WiPac 37059 - WiPac 37069 - WiPac 37218 - WiPac 37609 - WiPac 37716 - flush front. Again, all Compass 'Green-fade' 37s have WiPac lights or flush fronts, which Bachmann do not tool. Perhaps, 37422 in plain blue could be interesting and 37409 is expected to be in the most recent DRS livery, plain as per 37423, when outshopped in the coming months. I wonder shall more class 37s be Regional Exclusives? Logical modern liveries would include: 37025 (split head-codes) in BR LL and recently been on hire to Colas. 37175/219/254 Colas (Do Bachmann hold tooling for these three? I know the roof details are different on each). Your choice of West Coast Railways seeing as the collector club sold well. Of course, one clear choice is 37407 in BR LL as per its re-build, seen here with 37425 on the East Anglian Short Set (Shall be working all next week if you fancy a ride - with 419 or 422): Would I stand correct to sum the following 2018 Rep Exclusives: South West - 47625 BR Blue (weathered) - http://news.Bachmann.co.uk/2018/02/city-truro-class-47-sales-area-exclusive/ London and South East - 37425 DRS - http://news.Bachmann.co.uk/2018/04/1162/ West Midlands and Wales - 47628 BR Green - http://news.Bachmann.co.uk/2018/01/sir-daniel-gooch-class-47-sales-area-exclusive/ East Midlands and East Anglia - 27 Ton Hoppers. Note. Bachmann PR does not refer this to a 2018 rep ex. - http://news.Bachmann.co.uk/2018/03/27-ton-tippler-wagons-sales-area-exclusive/ North and Scotland - 47712 BR era Scotrail. Note. Bachmann PR does not refer this to a 2018 rep ex. - http://news.Bachmann.co.uk/2018/03/rebecca-class-47-sales-area-exclusive/ Thus, it might just be inconsistent wording, but if reading between the lines. We shall see rep exclusives for 2018 in the East Midlands/East Anglia and North/Scotland. 37025 would suit the North/Scotland and 37407 would suits East Midlands/Anglia.... Sorry to be pedantic. But anyway, I would be interesting to know of all the tooling variation Bachmann have for the class 37, if someone could point me to a source. KDG
Brilliant! Due Aug. RRP £164.95 snip Thanks for posting. Very nice. I was about to renumber a spare 37405 but will now hang on. RMweb Premium brushman47544 Posted April 14, 2018 RMweb Premium Share Posted April 14, 2018 (edited) Someone posted a while ago that Bachmann’s original plans for Sales Rep limited editions for 2018 were Class 37s, following Class 47s for 2017. These plans obviously changed when Kernow MRC relinquished 47625, 47628 and 47712 which then became additional Rep L/Es. Assuming Bachmann planned a Class 37 for each Sales area, others should be announced in due course. Will they all be of refurbished locos though? The L/E 37114 may be part of the same production run, in which case perhaps a BR Blue or LL 37/0 with Westie will be one of them - please...
