This livery above is worn on:

37038 - WiPac

37059 - WiPac
37069 - WiPac
37218 - WiPac
37609 - WiPac
37716 - WiPac

Again, all Compass 'Green-fade' 37s have WiPac lights.

All of them have WiPac's in that livery, EXCEPT the one you put a picture of !!

Cheers,

Phil.

Someone posted a while ago that Bachmann’s original plans for Sales Rep limited editions for 2018 were Class 37s, following Class 47s for 2017. These plans obviously changed when Kernow MRC relinquished 47625, 47628 and 47712 which then became additional Rep L/Es.

Assuming Bachmann planned a Class 37 for each Sales area, others should be announced in due course. Will they all be of refurbished locos though? The L/E 37114 may be part of the same production run, in which case perhaps a BR Blue or LL 37/0 with Westie will be one of them - please...

Interesting, I got shot down on earlier posts when I suggested the ex-Kernow 47s were not 2018 reps as it had been previously stated 2018 would be class 37s. But still, the Bachmann press-releases do suggest these 47s are 2018 reps rather than 2017. Well in the case of 47712 no year is stated. Thus:

Would I stand correct to sum the following 2018 Rep Exclusives:

London and South East - 37425 DRS - http://news.Bachmann.co.uk/2018/04/1162/
East Midlands and East Anglia - 27 Ton Hoppers. Note. Bachmann PR does not refer this to a 2018 rep ex. - http://news.Bachmann.co.uk/2018/03/27-ton-tippler-wagons-sales-area-exclusive/
North and Scotland - 47712 BR era Scotrail. Note. Bachmann PR does not refer this to a 2018 rep ex.http://news.Bachmann.co.uk/2018/03/rebecca-class-47-sales-area-exclusive/

Potentially 2018 provides the opportunity to have Rep Exclusives from South West, both Midlands and North. An additional Colas and 37407 in BR LL would be most welcome by modern modellers.

Types expected in July/August 2018:

Class 37/0 37049 'Imperial' BR Triple Grey Coal Split Headcode Jul-18 Class 37/0 37099 "Merl Evans 1947-2016" in Colas Rail Freight livery Jul-18 Class 37/5 37688 'Kingmoor TMD' DRS Compass Aug-18 Class 37/7 37884 Europhoenix - DCC Sound Aug-18 Class 37/4 37425 "Sir Robert McAlpine"/"Concrete Bob" DRS Compass Aug-18

Thus more than possible to have some more modern types, which would not justify a main production run.

There's already been 2 limited editions of 37025 for rails of Sheffield in large logo blue, one weathered and one not. Even if the bodyside logo is different I'd think that an unlikely choice

To eBay I go! These models hold the modern safety warning signs, cantrails etc? I have checked on eBay, 32-780Y is not up to modern standards. Plus that LL looks 'off':

Now that is embarrassing! I had meant to edit my copy and pasted list, alas, one should not think around midnight on a Friday!

Other than Cumbrian coast and Anglia duties, what work is there now for the DRS class 37/4 fleet?

159220: the large logo is supposed to look ‘off’ if you look at prototype pics of the loco back in the 80s (possibly 90s even) it has wonky double arrows for real

I’ve got that model and happily run it on my test trains, if I really wanted to I could add cantrail stripes and modern ohle flashes but I’m quite happy as it is (but yes a ‘modern’ version off the shelf would be nice)

37116 in Colas would be my choice of rep ltd ed but I don’t know if current tooling combinations would allow it to be done

Currently I don't think that Bachmann have the tooling to produce 116 Jim.

The current nearest tooling to that combination that they have is with the "door" on the noses, although the current modern day 116 does not have the doors on the noses and instead has the flush fronts, without the door.

Not quite correct

The loco received correct sized large logos when it was dual braked at in December 1983 (one of the first three 37/0s to receive the livery along with 37183 and 37264), see https://www.flickr.com/photos/30268259@N03/2887548303. The loco was then the first class 37 to be painted in the drab all-over departmental grey livery in June 1989. About a year later it had the yellow stripe added to convert it to the infinitely better Dutch livery. Its second stint in large logo, with oversized and wonky large logos and numbers, was for its naming at Inverness in March 1994. This lasted for a couple of years, but by August 1996 the logos had been painted out, though the wonky numbers remained.

The livery modelled is therefore correct from March 1994 to some time in late 1995 or early 1996.

Thank you, I did say:

Thus I am correct in saying it looks off for the 37025 as used by Colas in NRIM trains. Sorry if this was not clear, to me modern means todays railways, not 1980s or 1990s. The era term is era 11?

I have to agree big jim, it would make a fantastic addition to the Bachmann Rep line up.

Shame Bachmann do not have the flush front from the 37s, but I am sure 37254 would be a good'en as a Bachmann Colas 37 to run with 37099 & 37421.

How have people been getting on with sourcing a good deal on 37425? I looked through Bachmann's recommended shops, most either at RRP or do not have it listed.

I have found Model Junction with 37425 "Sir Robert McAlpine/Concrete Bob" listed at £164.95 (rrp), but if you place a deposit, you get a 15% reduction on delivery. Really friendly shop owner too, who has been more than helpful in helping me understand the ordering system. I would highly recommend, no association with the shop, just I had a happy experience ordering.

If when ordering, you say in the 'order comments' that you wish to make a deposit, then you get your 15%. A nice work around the rather steep RRP!

RRP = 164.95

15% pre-order loyalty = 24.74

Delivery = 3.95

Total before deposit = 144.16

10% deposit = 16.50

To pay on delivery = 127.66

Not bad!

Visit: https://www.modeljunction.info/estore/

I also note, The Hobby Shop, is offering a £20 voucher and free postage. But payment is upfront, and I personally do not like paying upfront (had a shop go bust before and nearly lost a lot of money - luckily ordered by master card so they refunded me! Never again). So the Model Junction seems to be the best out there.

I hope we don’t get much more colas, it seems over subscribed. And unless you have converted a load of yellow coaches what do you run with it ? Ah, you stuff full your 1970s Bachmann scenecraft depot with 10 of them.....!

I’m not sure what Bachmann is up to with these ltd editions, I thought it was a good idea at first, but now it seems like a bit of a hand grenade of a marketing strategy.

Give it a rest and make a sealed beam peak ...

Agree the L/L arrows were a bit wonky when applied prior to it's naming in 94 but not the numbers, although curly leg 7's were used...

37 425 Concrete Bob...so it now appears it's not a Rails Sheffield exclusive L/E ?

Without going too far off topic how do you get those pages with the prices up on the Britannia Pacific website, I can’t find the product pages at all from the links within the website?

Edit: I’m trying it on my mobile

If you Google "Britannia Pacific Models". Click on the result.

Then you should see a list of the products that they sell down the left hand side of the page. Click the one that you want.

For example click "test trains" and then "UTU".

This should show the products, with short descriptions of the stock and prices.

Hope this helps.
