Hitchin to Sheerness Scrap Train

Evening all, I'm trying to recreate the journey of the Hitchin to Sheerness scrap train but am having some trouble sourcing how it gets on to the NLL from the ECML. My assumption so far is that it pulls in to Finsbury Park and then uses the flyover at Harringay to run a around at Ferme park then onto the NLL?

Whilst I'm not familiar with the flow, or what years it ran, the normal route for trains off the bottom end of the ECML onto the NLL would be up the Kings Cross Incline from Copenhagen Jn up to Camden Road. That's quite a steep route, so if the train was too heavy it could have gone via the Canonbury curve and gone round the loop at Stratford to come back on itself and head west across the NLL.

 

Just a couple of guesses.

ISTR that a Gillingham crew would take a Crompton as motive power with the ex-Sheerness empties or light to Temple Mills Yard and pick this train up.

The service changed at one point and did a route via the GE WA line
