One in low light levels. The photos tend to show the lamp levels very brightly, in reality they are much less pronounced than they look. In the face of public opinion, (Nick told me to do it ), I have dimmed the lamps on the buffer stops , as can been seen in previous post, three variations are possible using the small PCB supplied. wireman Posted October 13, 2019 Share Posted October 13, 2019 The next two pictures are of the Wimhill station signals. these still require fixing to the baseboard so may not be quite upright. They are both from Ratio kits and I am informed not that easy to build. As always, Nick is never going to make anymore signals, although thats what he said last time and the time before that. Between Wimhill and Coleborne the line still needs a couple of distant signals plus an outer home down at Coleborne, have to wait and see. This class 4 seems to be .everywhere. Regards Brian. So here it is. Next, the three signals between Coleborne and Wimhill. Despite Nicks declaration of never building signals again. these have appeard since last week and during the afternoon were fitted to the in the appropriate places. The most recent aquisition has been a spray bay booth to enable use of the spray gun purchased a while ago. The first picture is of the booth, then a couple of pictures of Nicks first attemps at weathering. I haven't yet used it in anger but I tested it out with my vape and all of the vape cloud did indeed exit out of the window pipe. I used to have one that I had cobbled together out of a cardboard box and an old extractor fan and that worked ok although it was a bit heavy, not to mention noisey, it was also a bit tatty being heavy on the duct tape but this one seems to work much better than the home made one and it looks better as well. drummerboy Posted December 2, 2019 Share Posted December 2, 2019 Hi Guys The spray booth shown above was purchased from Amazon it's supplied by Display4top Airbrush Toy ( China ) and cost £72:00, there were cheaper models available but i felt it was worth spending the extra on a model with L.E.D. lighting, makes all the difference. I too was going to make my own but, these booth are so good it's just not worth the effort. Scott, would love to try weathering a Diesel , will need some pictures!! I've always wanted to learn how to weather models, but didn't know how to start, i read many articles on the subject but it's making that first move, so i enrolled on a one day course at the Airbrush Co. in Lancing, Airbrushing and Weathering Techniques for Railway Modelers with Mick Bonwick, brilliant course, gave me the confidence to use and maintain my airbrush, which i feel is very important , plus a great start to railway weathering techniques. pitbull1845 Posted December 11, 2019 Author Share Posted December 11, 2019 I had a vist to Coleborne Junction today, taking one of my recent purchases for a run in session with me. 37421 on a NR test train is seen arriving at the seaside resort of Wimhill. Where the driver managed a bag of chips before returning back down the branch.
