The very nice Llangunllo layout on the blogspot  http://radnorailways.blogspot.co.uk/ Seems to have disappeared.

It was there when I visited before Christmas.

Anyone know what has happened?

I enjoyed following this one.

Best Wishes

David

Geoff has had a lot of problems with spamming and believe it or not was receiving some rather nasty comments from so called 'modellers', which is why the comments sections was always moderated.

He was going to drop the blog completely, but was persuaded to keep it going, in a new format but without the ability for his friends and followers to comment on line.

His son is currently running the blog using comment and content  that Geoff provides.

Geoff's presently on a short holiday, and will no doubt pick up on the problem of the missing blog on his return.

I'm missing the Llangullo blog too. Geoff's excellent photography and explanation of his thought process behind the layout's development were very absorbing.

Thanking my lucky stars that I managed to read a good portion of it before it was caused to be removed by what I'd describe as pond life, and I think that's being charitable towards them.

I hope some of the content will reappear, even if it has to be much less interactive than before.

Thanks for your interest in Penhydd, and Llangunllo guys, as Richard pointed out my Dad is currently on holiday and rarely visits the forum these days. So rather than hear things from the horses mouth I'll do my best to fill you in.  I'm afraid the blog has gone for good, things started to go wrong a while back, people couldn't comment, and at one time my Dad couldn't even reply to the comments that had got through. Then posts began to disappear, along with the blog list another bits and pieces, then the abusive comments started to arrive. From then on things continued to get worse, and eventually my Dad decided to delete all three of his blogs.

However all is not lost for you can still read about Penhydd and Llangunllo here on the forum at  http://www.westernthunder.co.uk/index.php?threads/llangunllo-the-next-chapter.456/. And here at at http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/25359-penhyddthe-final-chapter/?hl=penhydd, there might still be something on the old RMweb site as well, failing that all 109 Llangunllo posts can be found here at http://llangunllo1.rssing.com/chan-51234596/latest.php

Its a shame that the decent guys such as yourself can no longer view the blogs, but he just couldn't continue with them the way things were. As far as I'm aware my father has no future plans as regards blogging, but I believe a series of articles are planned for one of the modelling magazines.

Best Regards,

Simon

I hope that the RMWeb thread flourishes as it's a really lovely model.

At least on here we are lucky to have Andy Y and the Mods (sounds like a pop group) who will jump on any untoward posts with a large pair of size twelves.

Warmest regards,

Dave
