For N scale, a nice Bedford CA van would be nice. Oxford only do it as an ice cream van, making it hard to turn into a plain van.

Similarly, the Bedford K cab is only available as a pantechnican from Oxford, albeit much easier to change into other forms.

Interesting to see a more up to date model from Osborns, as others have said that's the up to the minute Scania cab. To me, it looks like a pixelated version of the previous shape (per the Oxford model), especially when you see old and new side by side. I'll be sure to get some of these, I wonder if they'll look at some older cabs on the same chassis and tipper body? Could be a quick win if so

From a quick Flickr search, this style of Scania can be seen in big companies Hanson, AI and Tarmac liveries as well as numerous smaller operators.

Even at the current stage of development it's definitely a 'New Generation' cab as Scania call them, very distinctive shape. I'd imagine the only development that could change that is if Osborns go for a different prototype.

Just had an email from Osbourne Models. Two new livery variants of the Thames Trader and Bedford S plus a new modern Scania 8 wheel tipper.

The Scania  cab is now available as a Skip lorry

There also seems to be a Modern tractor

and a 1970s? MF tractor

They are not the only two tractors they're working on. Maurice recently admitted to having a thing about tractors, particularly vintage ones. But they're not much use in an urban environment.

Some 3D printed Land Rover 110s with a variety of bodystyles have joined the trucks and trailers in this eBay shop. Easier to recolour than the Oxford Diecast models which are printed liveries on clear bodyshells. Seller:- shaunybaby11

Interesting find Mike, some of his trucks look useful for stuff being roaded in and out of depots. Do you, or any other members, have any first hand experience of these 3D prints? Are they to 1/148 or 1/160?

I bought some scrap trailers which came as a set in three colours as in the Ebay listing. They are nominally 40 ft long, and the model measures 81.5mm using a ruler rather than a more accurate measurement. That makes them 1/148.  The quality of the self coloured prints is very good, with the wheels, king pin and trailer legs printed in black. The king pin may have to be resized for some tractor units, but the trailers look fine hooked up to Tomytec, Oxford Diecast, and DMToys tractor units.  I'll do a few detailed photos later.

This is a selection of all round pictures of the as received trailer to show the quality of printing. My main observation is that the trailer wheels seem a little bit undersized, and there is no side under-run protection.  Hooked up to a Tomytec Isuzu tractor unit.

I’ve ordered one of the Land Rovers, a discount popped up!  If it’s OK I’ll order some more to load a Carflat. I’ll post pics on arrival.

The Land Rover arrived today. Model inside a sealable plastic bag inside a small box.

The photos are literally out of the box. Fairly smooth print apart from the sloped roof above the cab....which will need some filler. It looks like a LR. The model is sealed and has revolving wheels, solid rear windows. The front cab window looks too big but from normal distances more than acceptable.

Two spare wheels and a roof rack are the other bits.

The Land Rover looks good, but agree the windscreen is too big as it is missing the top.of the bulkhead where the air vent flaps are.

Of course, knew something wasn’t quite right.

Here's the ODC RTP version for comparison. HTH. I presume it's the same vehicle. I picked it up at a local show for £5 a year ago.

On the never ending list of vehicles for ODC never to do, I’d like to add a LR Station wagon, even the SWB Landy as a station wagon would as useful as the van.

Plenty of short wheelbase Land Rover Defender station wagons were in the Hongwell 1/72 range if you can stand the nominal scale difference. They had cab mirrors. I think I have at least one which was Schuco branded. The Oxford N versions are the older 88" wheelbase.
