28XX
Looks LNWR to me. Late '60's by the cars.
EddieB
I think it may be a bit earlier and the two registration plates visible - RDG and ACJ both derive from Gloucester.
28XX
Lydney has been suggested but other pics of that have a box with a hipped roof. Unless there were / are two crossings.
£1.38
Probably mid-60s as there is a Rover 2000 coming towards the crossing (1963 onwards) The signal cabin is GW - LNWR cabins looked nothing like that.
Tim H
Looks like Porthmadog to me. Recognise (and have stayed in) the hotel in the background.

muddys-blues
Looks like Porthmadog to me. Recognise (and have stayed in) the hotel in the background. Porthmadog crossing is on a flat road, the one above is definitely on an incline, and in Porthmadog there are two tracks crossing the road ... but I get why you are thinking this. Best regards Craig. Eggesford box
Lydney has been suggested but other pics of that have a box with a hipped roof. Unless there were / are two crossings. Lydney Town on the Severn & Wye line. You are correct that there are two crossings. The other crossing is at the former Lydney Junction on the Gloucester to Severn Tunnel Junction line.
