andyman7
Nice to see the VIX Ferry Van reissued again, in two beautifully finished liveries. I've got around 13 of these, all different, from the original Tri-ang Hornby issue of 1971 through to these ones picked up today.

roythebus
It's a nice model and IIRC quite accurate apart from being a bit too high at buffer level, but that can be cured by filing a bit off the swivel "bogies".
Fat Controller
It's a nice model and IIRC quite accurate apart from being a bit too high at buffer level, but that can be cured by filing a bit off the swivel "bogies". It's a little narrow as well, I believe, but not at all bad for a model that came out first almost 50 years ago. There have been some nicely 'made-over' models on the web at various times; replacing the doors with ones made of thinner material, fitting handrails, and removing the brackets on the solebar that support the sliding doors make a real difference.
