boxcar_jim
Alton MRG is a small friendly club in NE Hampshire, established as a model railway section of a general modelling club in the mid 1980s, it soon became a club in its own right. The club currently has three exhibition layouts: Pine Bluffs & Ceda Falls (American HO - 3 variations), Alton 2000 (British 00 with a local theme) and Welles (British 00 - the club's first layout - currently undergoing a major renovation). A British 0 scale layout Southolt is also under construction. Club members have a wide range of interests from Guage 3, via 0, P4, 00, H0, 009 to HOf, and currently have individual layouts in Guage 3, 0, 0n30, P4 and 00 scales. We currently run a well attended exhibition on the first weekend of February each year. The club meets on a Monday night in Anstey Park, Alton. Subscriptions are £50 a year.
