RMweb Gold Accurascale Fran Posted April 2, 2017 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted April 2, 2017 Sometimes we all get that Sunday night fear; a great weekend comes to an end and another long week is fast approaching. Relaxation and fun gives way to work and responsibilities. Oh, if there was only something to look forward to to get us through the week!Well, fear not! This week is a mile post nearer to journey's end in the wait for the IRM Ballast Wagons. As you can see in this picture, the long wait is almost over. They're on their way and in a couple of weeks time they will be a part of your collection. Hopefully the excitement of getting your hands on them will get you through the week ahead!(And yes, Ballast loads are still included. We just wanted you to see that lovely detail inside!)

Horsetan
Love the colour of the boxes...! I take it that green is a very Irish thing? (judging by things like Aer Lingus, etc). Excellent. They were unlikely to have Ryanair colours.

RMweb Gold Accurascale Fran Posted April 11, 2017 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted April 11, 2017 THEY ARE LEAVING ON A JET PLANE! The moment is here, everybody! Our first project, the CIE ballast wagon is currently in transit from the factory in China to these shores. We have decided to fly them to Ireland to speed up delivery! We expect to have them next week after customs is cleared. We will then personally inspect every pack to make sure they are up to scratch. As you may know, we are a small team doing this in our spare time. We also have the North Down Model Railway Society Bangor show next weekend too. It will take us several days to go through everything and ship them out to everyone. Rest assured you will get them as soon as we can get them checked, packed and in the post!
RMweb Gold Accurascale Fran Posted April 16, 2017 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted April 16, 2017 Happy Easter, everyone! A few people said to us previously that this image of the ballast bodies being readied for assembly looked like chocolate, While we think the do look pretty delish, we hope that you are having some nice chocolate eggs while you're running your trains today! The wagons are en route to us via air and will touch down this coming week. Here's all the information you need about receiving yours, as well as news on other projects and a very special offer! https://irishrailwaymodels.com/index.php/2017/04/12/ballast-hoppers-en-route/

We're currently doing a spot of quality control on them and will begin posting them today to our UK customers! There is still a limited quantity of packs B and C to order but they wont hang around for long.
RMweb Gold Accurascale Fran Posted April 29, 2017 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted April 29, 2017 A good friend of ours sent us these great photos of the IRM ballast wagons running around the superb 'Ballybeg' layout last night. We think they look right at home! We have begun dispatching orders out to customers late this week, and if you're based in Ireland and paid for postage and packaging then you can expect your wagons to turn up in the coming week, with international orders coming soon after that. There are many of you who have selected 'exhibition pick up' for your wagons. Please let us know if you would rather them posted out to you now via info@irishrailwaymodels.com

RMweb Gold Accurascale Fran Posted September 29, 2017 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted September 29, 2017 It's been a very busy period for us at Irish Railway Models as you can understand, with the ballast hoppers arriving and flying out the door, and now the bubble project almost upon us and the Tara Mines wagons entering the tooling stage. So busy in fact that I only got the chance to run my own rake of ballast wagons for the first time last weekend! A proud moment for me personally I must admit. I took some video footage as they went for a spin. We still have a limited number of ballast wagons left, so make sure you move soon or risk missing out! www.irishrailwaymodels.com/shop
RMweb Gold Accurascale Fran Posted March 12, 2018 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted March 12, 2018 Hey everyone, Just a heads up to say that we are now completely sold out of ballast wagons. I just wrapped up the last pack for dispatch for its new home. Thank you to everyone who supported us with purchases! The bubble pile is getting smaller too with about 80% of them sold out. Hope you didn't miss out! Cheers, Fran
