KNP
What a good idea Mick. Cram all eight in the cab 1 engine driver and 3 trainees and the same for the fireman. Might have to shuffle around a bit and take it in turns with the shovel.......!
KNP
Collett parked in bay platform for paint to harden! A couple of quick iPhone pictures as I was upstairs and the camera downstairs so the iPhone won as it was in my pocket...... More tomorrow when I can finish and handle the loco normally.
Tallpaul69
Hi Kevin, Is the Collet going to be weathered, or stay ex Works? Suppose weathered is the best bet as I guess even in the '30s engine cleaning was not top of the priorities? I expect the few remaining cleaners that were not passed for firing and therefore out on the road were fully occupied with the top link engines? whatever state it ends up in I am sure it will look great! Cheers Paul

Cheers Paul At the moment it is lightly weathered. This is where pictures come in. I plan to take some with the camera and see what they look like. The chassis, wheels and motion gear needs a bit more attention
Popular Post KNP
I've taken those pictures of the Collett I mentioned earlier that I use for checking over the model and the painting effects. It's funny what the camera sees, you don't at the time until the eye gets focused in on the picture. Bit more work on the chassis needed, especially the 'lumps' of earth powder that I forgot to move around, and the tender needs 'tidying up'. I thought I would share the pictures with you as they are just sitting there at the moment. I have found over the years that the coal siding next to the quay has excellent lighting for this.
