ian.dunn46
Has he given up waiting for the stick to be pulled off? Or is there a flagperson out there in the shrubbery to allow the signal to be passed at stop? Overzealous signaller? Great picture though.

RMweb Premium great northern Posted July 14, 2020 RMweb Premium Share Posted July 14, 2020 The signalman has been remarkably zealous in returning it to danger after the locomotive has passed. Always think the best of people. 3 2

Keep pics like this coming as well Kevin, it brings us back to basics and what modelling is all about, a nice Layout in a little room, what's not to like. 3 7

I'm not sure if I'm the only one but I find not just the scenic section of a layout fascinating, but also everything around the layout - the wiring under the board - looking into fiddle yards to see how they are made and how they operate - seeing a layout in a room, shed or exhibition enviornment (I think it makes it more real in a way than a set of disembodied pictures). 2

That is a superb angle, and somehow the lack of stock (of the rolling variety, not the bovine...) just gives you an opportunity to take in the peaceful scene and all its little details. There's really very little that gives it away as a model. 5 3
Popular Post KNP
To store my photos I set up a main folder, called Layout Pictures and the first picture was saved in the 26/12/14. This is the first picture using iPad Air 2 Since then I having been snapping and clicking away, saving and sequentially numbering them so I don't loose track until 2 days ago I realised I was about to save the 3000th picture. And this is it, a specially staged one with my favourite loco heading towards you. Don't use this set up much as I have to carefully place a piece of wood on the track so the camera can clear the fencing, then the camera (Panasonic TZ100) is placed carefully on it and controlled remotely from the iPhone. The tripod can't quite reach this deep in the layout behind the derelict house on the main curve leading into Little Muddle station. To me, this picture, captures the very essence of a quiet country scene that was my aim way back in 2008 when I started this layout.
