Isn't this the one that the've not got enough cash for so their not going to buy the planes for and use it instead as a bird table.

I'm reminded of a Jasper Carrot line about "two posh cars in the drive and no bacon in the fridge".

Oh well, I guess the Squadron Leader can use it for circuits and bumps...

Hive of activity.

Kept firing up the jet engines! marine version of course.

Couldn’t get back far enough to get all the ship in the picture.

Impressive, very impressive...

Must be an excursion outing to see HMS POW moored in Little Muddle harbour.

I believe Misty and Snowflake guided her in.....

I forgot which thread I was on and started doing Spot the Difference.

When she due to come to little muddle harbour,  I'm sure she will just fit

I suspect, could be wrong, that the photo is evidence that Swindon was not too happy with the normal method of rail delivery of new locomotives to Little Muddle. :scratch_one-s_head_mini:

I can't reveal my sources (COVID-19 restrictions apply) but that pic was handed to me by a man wearing a face mask ................

We know how life stood still in the 1930's..... particularly when we are talking about such bucolic treats as Little Muddle....

All I can say is that the Manor can't even be going at walking pace..... it's taken over a day to reach as far as the farm....

Isn't Wednesday market day in Little Muddle? I shudder to think of all that produce that can't get through lol

My money is on a Thursday arrival.... I'm not saying which Thursday though :-)

Lovely scene as ever Kevin @KNP

Enjoy Southsea Kevin

In my teen years we holidayed in Portsea on a number of occasions. Although this was over 60years ago I remember it with great affection!

Never got bored there even if the weather was bad.

Mind you riding on trolleybuses, open topped buses and Southdown Queen Marys, was a vast improvement on the home diet of Bristols and Leylands although I thought them not a patch on LT RTs!

Even the Portsmouth Corporation Crossleys seemed vastly better than the motley Luton Corporation versions.

Again, SR Spam Cans , schools, and EMUs seemed a cut above the home Black5s and DMUs !

The sea was a great draw with its various Warships, Ferries, Car Ferries and Hovercraft which the River Lea had no chance of matching! Mind you the beaches were nothing to write home about.

He Ho, those were the days, hope you have had a great time Kevin, even if that aircraft carrier blocked your view of the Isle of Wight.

Looking forward to 7802's continuing saga once you get home?

Travel safe,

Best regards

Paul

Never mind the Manor, or the traction engine, there's a brake van been standing on the main foor weeks!

I know why it's there, but, to me it did jar, as being out of place, when the Manor branched off. Just

seems highly unlikely that it would have that close ahead of the special.

I imagined the brake van was at the rear of a train detained at the advance starter, awaiting section clear. It is thus protected by the junction signal, and the route to the branch being clear, the Manor has set off with impunity. But not a lot of 'go'!
