Popular Post KNP
Now, I like this picture, though the same set up as the previous one the camera is resting on the corner of the roof to the harbour office lowering the viewing angle It seems to have a bit more 'balance' and draws your eye to the wagons on their outing....even though they are deep in the picture. You’ll need one of those mobile cattle ramps. I hear Santa was coming - maybe he has one on the back of his sleigh. 2

If you have Tim Bryan's excellent 'A day in the life of the Great Western' take a look at the picture on p. 52 of a cattle wagon with incarcerated bull. He does not look happy at all and you wouldn't want to be the guy who had to open the door and lead him out. (It's a good close-up of the van and its lettering too.) 3 1

I was taking a Hereford out of a trailer. He took me for a walk. 1 3

In my experience, Friesian bulls are psychopathic. I never had the dubious 'pleasure' of working with Jerseys mind. 1 3
MrWolf
A herd of cute little Dexters is like a pub full of Scottish soldiers. Short sturdy and don't #@*$ with them. 2 1

Unfortunately I never got the chance to work with Dexters. A friend of mine had two as house cows. They certainly knew their own minds, shall I say. 1

Jerseys manage to look cute, but they are rather like Koala bears in that respect. They get bored and want to kill you. 1 3

Popular Post KNP
The evolution of a picture. I took this picture but wasn't quite happy with it because the colour was off and the signals to overpowering. So I cropped it. Still colour off so I thought what about monochrome Better but lets age it a bit with some grain, colour tint and dark vignette to the edges.... Hmm...to me much better but still 'missing' something so I cropped again.... Now that is beginning to feel right but add a bit more grain, hint of light vignette around the edges Still tweaking so pulled the colour back a bit and sharpened the clarity to give to my eye the finished result. Please be advised that since taking this series of picture of the Prairie steaming down the main line I have filed back all the front lamp irons so the lamp doesn't look so perched on top. There is history with this old Bachmann Prairie as it was brought for me as a thank you gift from my son when he passed his driving test after I taught him to drive.
