Kevin has missed a trick! there are no windmills to tilt at on LM.

Don't give him ideas. Its enough that the puff puffs take a week to go the equivalent of a half a mile.

Now there's an idea, where could I build one of those?

Needs to be on top of a hill.....

And will the miller be called Windy or Dusty? Or something less complimentary....

Excellent pics to end the record of this special working.

But I am left wondering. With all these photographers around, waiting,

and waiting, and waiting, for the Special freight fro LM, why didn't

any of them record the mainline goods? Which has just passed, and

can just be seen in the distance.

(All questioned tongue in cheek)

Ah, now there's a question.

The view blocker toad no less, the story of why is there is shrouded in mystery and intrigue.

Ah! I see they had their films confiscated by "security".

Good job the press guy had a spare camera, to capture the Special ex LM arrive, then.

(And he got an exceptional shot, even with the 2nd choice).

The signal appears to have been put back a little prematurely.

Maybe so, but the bobby can already see the end of the train. He's not wanting to let that cup of tea get any colder and he can't leave the writing up of the log until later. The pressures of a railway life!

He's got time for at least one more brew-up before he'll be able to see the tail lamp.

Ah, but the signal being off is locking those points in the normal position. Quite important until the train has passed!

Might be track-circuited (unlikely) or a fouling bar (not yet modelled).

A moody, tinted monochrome picture taken a while ago of the station

Then out of nowhere a rain shower arrived, even caught the photographer out...no time for coats!

Sun shining somewhere as you can see the rays playing through the rain...

After the rain comes sun

After the sun comes rain again
