MrWolf
This picture shows the air cleaner pipe and the way it fits into the cast iron air box. The tractor is a c1942 model with metal saving mudguards and wartime green paint. The opposite side of the early model N showing exhaust and vaporiser manifold for running on TVO fuel (paraffin based). Hope that helps? 9

MrWolf
A heavy crate, quite properly loaded over the rear axle on a lorry of the time.

RMweb Gold Limpley Stoker Posted June 7, 2021 RMweb Gold Share Posted June 7, 2021 That’s the best view yet of the lorry, it looks more substantial here. The workers are not visible but we all know nothing is actually happening! 2
Ponthir28
Nothing is happening. As it should be in Little Muddle. 2
KNP
This tractor thing seems to have opened up even more worms. My good friend from 'up north' has sent me a youtube video of Fordson tractors working in the UK during 1937 and most are as per my model with no sticky up pipes. The easier option is to keep it as and then if more conclusive information comes to hand then I will add them if necessary. Taking an educated guess I reckon it's one of those situations you could find an example of any version! 2 3
Sandhole
Exhaust pipe and air intake would be right. I've driven one like that with steel cleated wheels. Loved it. Regards, Chris.
MrWolf
Some (industrial versions) had a car type exhaust that went down and out the back like a car, but had a nasty habit of setting fields on fire. Early versions also had an air intake under the fuel tank and no snorkel.
Popular Post KNP
Well dear followers I thought, what the heck you lazy s*d, let’s put those ‘funnels’ on. So using 0.7mm wire with a piece of electric cable insulation as the air filter hey presto with 20 mins job done. Drilled into engine block so the wire had something to firmly glue to. Painted and areas touched up where damaged and all left to dry ready for heavy weathering hopefully tomorrow. Down on the farm….. And does it stand out… 37 3

And this shows RMWeb at its best, with people sharing their knowledge to make a better model. . . . 1 hour ago, MrWolf said: exhaust that went down and out the back like a car, but had a nasty habit of setting fields on fire. . . . .as noted above by @MrWolf. You wouldn't want to have to model that. Would you ? 1

Perhaps file some very slight flats on the bottom of the tyres to help it sit on the ground? 3 1 1
MrWolf
It looks like it's been to work now! Rear number plates on tractors without lights were often a black painted square on the right rear mudguard or the differential. 1
