This picture shows the air cleaner pipe and the way it fits into the cast iron air box. The tractor is a c1942 model with metal saving mudguards and wartime green paint.

The opposite side of the early model N showing exhaust and vaporiser manifold for running on TVO fuel (paraffin based). Hope that helps?

Great, thanks for that.

Looks like I've got a bit of tweaking to do....

No problem, although I am now wondering if I owe you an apology for making more work for you!

I applaud you taking Mr Wolf's advice but if you also listen to St Enodoc and MrKirtley800 please stay out of sight behind the camera.

This tractor thing seems to have opened up even more worms.

My good friend from 'up north' has sent me a youtube video of Fordson tractors working in the UK during 1937 and most are as per my model with no sticky up pipes.

The easier option is to keep it as and then if more conclusive information comes to hand then I will add them if necessary.

Taking an educated guess I reckon it's one of those situations you could find an example of any version!

Some (industrial versions) had a car type exhaust that went down and out the back like a car, but had a nasty habit of setting fields on fire.

Early versions also had an air intake under the fuel tank and no snorkel.

I thought, what the heck you lazy s*d, let’s put those ‘funnels’ on.

That looks excellent Kevin @KNP. And this shows RMWeb at its best, with people sharing their knowledge to make a better model. . . .

. . . .as noted above by @MrWolf. You wouldn't want to have to model that.

Would you ?

Shhh.....

If you listen quietly you can hear the wind rustling through the trees, birds tweeting on their nests and water trickling down the brook.

Peaceful, tranquil and restful.....

As idyllic as a John Constable painting.

It is clean no more

Just realised I ought to put some number plates on it…..

Must let it dry now as it very easy to disturb what you had previously done….

That looks superb (of course).  Perhaps file some very slight flats on the bottom of the tyres to help it sit on the ground?
