To honest apart from being very dusty I've not done to much to it as shown the previous picture other than put it back into some resemblance of order. Just wandered down from the railway room where I have oiled it, cleaned it, run it for 30mins in both directions and then running on the track. Ran very smoothly but with a strange clanking noise, can live with that as it won't run very often if the rest of my motive fleet's example is anything to go by. So started painting it, well currently just the black which has now had a coat of Vallejo black grey which takes away the model feel in one effort. Will need another coat to pick up the areas I missed. You can see where I have used T-Cut as it's given the green a blueish tint. RMweb Gold Donw Posted June 24, 2021 RMweb Gold Share Posted June 24, 2021 Whooly hat surely much closer to a straw boater well apart from the shape. From what I can remember of my visits to small stations in my teenage years there often seemed to be a lack of anything happening for long period. KNP
Thanks Yes, Alan contacted me a while ago and asked if he could use that picture. Must have been some time because of where the shed door is leaning, no workmen or crane present. As they say fame but in this case no fortune???? Popular Post Benbow
Hi Kevin, you have inspired me to get the camera out and try a few snaps following your techniques but I seem to be getting a bit of ghosting around things like the signal in the attached photo. I am using Affinity to focus merge and a Canon EOS 2000D. Any hints to try and solve it? 20

Love the feeling of depth in this picture and that you really need to go down that lane to see what is behind that hedge.... This something that I have suffered with and found two answers, not always successful but sometimes - pull the camera further away and then crop the picture or use the A (aperture) setting with the largest F stop you have, might need extra lighting for this or a bit of tweaking on Affinity with light settings. Where did you get the plough from? 3
