I think the crate will have as much chance of getting aboard as any on the platform.

Kevin could fit a roof-rack for a special cargo......Perhaps???

Got my sun hat,... gone ......

Would need the crane to do that and given the fact that the 'engine shed door' is still waiting to be fitted I can't see that happening anytime soon can you.

I wouldn't get too excited if I were you. He said its 'heading to town' doesn't actually mean its going to get there- well at least not for a couple of hours and in LM that could be days or even weeks.

Yes dear and the four course meal, visit to the theatre and the mug of ovaltine as well.:P

Just make certain you take your key with you as the front door might be locked by the time you get back.

It isn't missing. It is having a rest alongside the shed.

How do you know that.

It might have been stolen by a band of wandering vagabonds to held to ransom to the highest bidder.

Or worst yet it could have fitted.

Given the popularity of the shed door and the infamous crate, Kevin could put them both up for auction before retiring to a chateau in the south of France.

Once there he would have the room and cash to build the rest of the line from Encombe town. Then perhaps employ half a dozen athletic young women to..... Ahem, ... dust it regularly...

Now Mr Wolf do not go giving young Kevin ideas.

If he sold up and moved to the south of France to live in a château inhabited by nubile young women where would he find the time to do that.

More to the point where would it leave us.

I think a raft for the local boys would be better. The shed foreman doubtless will kindly offer to teach them to take his door and make a raft from it, however, as they have already done this, they would prefer to politely decline his well-meaning invitation and disappear quietly behind some crates on the opposite side of the harbour.
