Winslow Boy
I believe I may have a solution as to whether the trains are going up, down, north south, west or east. Let's just say that they are 'going, coming or stopping'. Edited September 29, 2021 by Winslow Boy
RMweb Premium Siberian Snooper Posted September 29, 2021 RMweb Premium Share Posted September 29, 2021 Wells Tucker Street, all trains depart in the Up direction, regardless of whether they are going to Witham or Yatton. 1

Dont forget Exeter St David in the good old days you could depart in the same directions for both London and Plymouth so in theory up was down and down was up at Cowley Bridge.... Popular Post KNP
There you are, was having withdrawal symptoms, I suspect AY has been battling hard to get this back up and running so thank you for all your efforts. Life has been carrying on at a sedate pace on LM and one day later than planned here is a re-badged train passing through Encombe Town station sporting the GWR roundel to both loco and carriages. The original manufacturer applied wording/badges where removed using the time honoured method of T-Cut left on for 10-15 mins to the area in question then carefully washed off with a damp cotton bud. With the loco tender I removed all the weathering and name back to the original colour to the entire main side panel then re-badged and weathered as a whole area so their would be no issues with joining old to new. Same process to the coaches but much smaller area of brown but again embracing a whole area approach so no weathering jointing was visible between old and new. Weathering applied using my method of varnish with a hint of roof dirt in it applied in vertical downward strokes. Not to worry St.E - it looks the right way up from where you're sitting. Talking of which there was a programme on C5 here yesterday evening about the Indian Pacific and, not surprisingly the continuity of the helicopter shots was somewhat misleading to say the least with miles open rolling grassland between Central and the Blue Mountains 1 1 2

Popular Post KNP
Just a 56xx pootling long pulling a mixed freight train from the valleys!!! Now I have sorted this 'end of the world' problem and that is to move the camera so the end of the line is obscured by the bay signal arm...... Simple or what? Popular Post KNP
Well after that bolt from the blue and completing some decorations to the inside of the cupboard I decided it was time to sort my growing fleet of motive power in a better arrangement when putting them in storage.. Gone of the days of having just two locos, a Prairie and a Pannier that I would leave on the layout from one day to the next. Not only that but I was beginning to forget what loco's I had especially when I re-numbered them!! So here, for the record, is what is available to support the operations of LM Operational Non - Operational They are now all packed away in storage boxes now which will be labelled accordingly. I have to say the layout is rather quiet at the moment as every bit of rolling stock I own has been removed and down on the dining room table as I type. This the first all the loco's have been out at the same time I was quite surprise how many I had re-badged with the shirt button roundel. I don't plan to do all of them but I feel the King would have been kept up to date. The Pannier at the back (non operational picture) is a new (second hand) one and will become 7550 with all the top feeds removed and the Dean Goods is an old Mainline one with the visible tender drive mechanism. I have ordered from Wizard Models their chassis kit (both parts) and some Romford wheels so when they arrive that will be next on my list to do.
