RMweb Gold Harlequin Posted March 12, 2020 RMweb Gold Share Posted March 12, 2020 I like the elderly dying tree! That's more like real life and it fits in the scene alongside the tumbledown barn. Could you persuade some ivy to colonise it?

Good question.... Because many years ago when this layout revised to its current format I decided that left to right was westwards (towards the West Country) and right to left was eastwards (towards Bristol). This then gave me the option that the branch curved off the main line heading Northish towards the Bristol Channel where Little Muddle (and the then 'new' harbour) was located slightly inland. Popular Post KNP
Snowflake is all but finished. Still pondering over the ships dinghy as some have then some don't so for the moment I have left it. Propose to add some crew, say 2 figures, and I will order some in due course. This is the latest picture.. Edited March 24 by KNP 24

As long as there is a rational explanation who am I to query it? So do I dare ask where is the sun in all of the photos?
Simond
Re Snowflake's dinghy. Given her reputation for running aground, I'd say it's a necessity, either for a run ashore to get some milk for breakfast, or to lay out a kedge anchor so she can be got off again under some control when the tide rises again... I made one from card for "Olive", my puffer. Fiddly business but quite satisfying. 7mm, probably easier atb Simon 4 1

Sorry just re-read your comment and I misread it!!!! This is the land where time stood still so the led powered sun is always in the same position, every day, every week, every month, every year....it never moves! Bit like my locos in way but that is about to change with this new controller and point switches in full operation. Popular Post KNP
Much better natural light today for a few more pictures of Snowflake Yesterday, I set everything up in the dining room when the sun was out only for the skies to darken and sleet to fall before I got around to taking some pictures. This meant I had to put room light on giving an unnatural hue to the model that I couldn't quite get rid of. Today was better. 'Morning skipper, see you have got your nameplate and anchor now' 'Bye then, have a safe journey' Now a question.... Looking at the above picture she does not carry a Red Ensign!!! I think I need to fit one. Do you agree? Edited March 24 by KNP 21
