KNP
The King has been tweaked...…..! Name changed, new cab handrail added that got rid of that large bent wire effort and the spare lamp brackets replaced with new brass ones. Talking of lamp brackets I have these left over after using all the GWR ones, I know there are one or two of you out there that model something other than the Great Western but if anyone want's these then PM with details and I will send them to you. Otherwise they just sit in my spares box and eventually I will have a tidy up and throw them anyway...... Edit Brackets have found a new home. I would trade you for my frets with the SR/LSWR route indicator mounts or lamp irons removed but sending bundles to Britain these days has become rather complicated. You would probably have to pay the VAT on them as they came to me VAT-free. I stopped modeling the GWR at Brixham in 2009 and switched to the SR at Padstow. I do have some SR family roots. I fondly remember Mainly Trains. They were my go-to supplier for 90% of my non-RTR purchases between 1985 and about 2014. Dave Cleal (spelling?) was always gracious and helpful. 1 4

RMweb Gold Harlequin Posted May 3, 2020 RMweb Gold Share Posted May 3, 2020 Is Jimmy pondering that cylinder on Kneller Hall? Sorry Kevin, but it still looks wrong to me.
Simond
You should never model a model, but here’s my Hall for comparison. I regret that I have to agree with Phil. The valves appear to be too far outboard, I think they should be tucked up under the hanging plate. atb Simon 3

Popular Post KNP
Tony and Tommy are finished and ready to put them on the layout..... But where is the question? So an adventure began Do they wait for a train next to the seated gent? No, I don't think so. How about next to Jimmy Riddle looking for the next train? Doesn't look like so they went for a walk and stopped to chat to the old tramp. How about here says Tommy? Tony wasn't happy so the went off to Little Muddle station and ended up conversing with Duncan Bisskitts about the lack of trains!!!! Still not happy so they popped into town and bumped into Ivy and Daisy outside the pub. Nope.... Then the idea came and off they went to the first place I thought of.... There we go, trainspotters Now before anyone says anything, yes I have now realised that I have painted an Indiana Jones figure without thinking about it. Also they have gone back into make up as the shading on their faces is not right. Edited March 25 by KNP 34

RMweb Gold Limpley Stoker Posted May 4, 2020 RMweb Gold Share Posted May 4, 2020 I vote for the platform conversation with Porter Bisketts - the lad might be learning something important about railways. He would be just over 90 by now, and perhaps reads this chronicle!

Popular Post KNP
They say patience is a virtue and their waiting has paid off. Mind you I'm not sure I would wish to be standing exactly there as King Edward V111 is a none stopper and at this point is motoring..... The carriages sort of rolled into it when I set the picture up!!!! 1

Popular Post KNP
The next picture I had a problem with as it is an archive one and it clearly shows the Hall with it's misshaped cylinder. Luckily after the picture was taken the photographer realised his mistake and asked for the Hall to back out of the scene. Here is the first one But after the retake all is now well...... 15 4
