Popular Post KNP
And just for Mr Bonwick esq. a specially commissioned picture of the other side of 4589 with the fireman present. Odd set up which gave this strange colour to the loco. There is a piece of greyboard held up alongside of the layout to conceal me, tripod, lighting rig, opposite side of the room and the door which is what I believe gave this picture its moody, menacing slightly diffused look........ Popular Post KNP
Now this picture has a story..... Let me begin... Once upon at time in a land far far away where time stood still and steam still ruled was a loco waiting to coal. The operator (me) was setting everything up by swinging the tripod boom over the said loco and hanging the camera upside down on the reverse side. Please bear in mind the camera was under remote control of the iPhone so I wasn't really looking at the resulting picture more concerned about removing items from the area by 'force'. As I manoeuvred to tighten the tripod up my elbow touched the iPhone and took a picture, thinking twit, I processed to take the picture I eventually posted earlier. It wasn't until and downloaded the images onto the computer that I bothered to look at what I had taken. Well, for an accident it came out remarkably good......little bit of cropping to remove unwanted items, a bit of cloning to get rid of stray things - glasses, knife etc. Here is the end result, a sort of picture by default... RMweb Gold Mick Bonwick Posted September 6, 2020 RMweb Gold Share Posted September 6, 2020 I think that the rain looks more convincing than the snow. Both very clever, though. 3

Popular Post KNP
Well the workforce has arrived to look at fixing this engine shed door. These are draft positions to see if I have got layout realistic and the all important eye lines correct - hence the blue tac. The stonemason is kneeling looking at the hinge stone that fell out, he has the chap with spade looking at him passing on his comments, the chap on the far right is looking at and chatting to the man with his hands on his hips to the left of the track whilst the foreman is leaning on the shed door reading with works order. Seems to work, what I now normally do is leave for a few days just in case another idea springs into mind before fixing into place. 24 5
