Really pleased with the revised backscene, well worth the effort I think.

Yes, it gives greater credence to the "Little" part of the name, bringing the open countryside closer. Luvverly stuff, Kevin.

Thanks.

My idea was to make it look like the town went up a hill thereby not feeling ‘city like’ in size.

Plus bringing the tree line into the buildings helped as well.

A view from the roof of the shoe shop

All quiet down the alleyway.

Really pleased with the revised backscene, well worth the effort I think.

I’m pleased to see that you managed to show the carpenter at work from this new viewpoint. Excellent backscene mods.

It certainly gives the feel of a more appropriate size to the town of Little Muddle.  Still a small town not a village.

Your modelling reminds me of Rev Denney's Buckingham.
You create a place I'd like to walk around and explore. Lovely work.
Best Regards,
Chris.

Hi @Limpley Stoker. I agree with the second sentence. Looking great @KNP

Struggling with your first sentence though? Photo appears devoid of "carpenters at work"? Assuming a male (given the era of LM) maybe he is called Wally. This may, of course, explain my inability to locate him. . . . .

Noted the expression "at work" is also a concept that has been discussed previously about the inhabitants of Little Muddle. . . . . . . .

That paintwork is superb, really subtle weathering. Can you tell us the recipe for the not so white rooves?

Roof

Grey primer

Then 4 coats of a thin Lifecolor Roof Dirt washes always painted in the same direction, this across the roof.

Each coat allowed to dry.

The last work was worked continuously across the roof as it dried.

Follow the path with your eye upto the wall. Over the wall, to the right of the open door is a shed. In the shed is Wally.

Yes, a quiet Sunday morning....

Time to watch the world go by with a spot of relaxing fishing.

Though Colonel's wife must be so patient as never seems to catch anything.......not even a cold!

These days not catching anything is a blessing...
