The Model Railway Club is holding a free open day on Sunday 23rd April 2017.

We'll have a special focus on modelling in O gauge and 7mm:1ft scale, and featuring one of the last public operating sessions of our well know layout "Happisburgh Goods" before it retires later this year.

Other MRC layouts include:

"Lacey Dale"  - our N gauge mainline layout with branch line. normally running late BR steam from the Peak District

"Empire Mills" - An EM gauge goods line set in the west country.

And the Gauge O Guild will be there, showing the range of opportunity to model in this scale.

Plus a special offer for new members applying on the day

  • You can browse our library - one of the most comprehensive resources for modellers in the UK
  • Our multi-gauge TEST TRACKS will be available, to run N, 12mm, OO, HO, EM, P4 S and O gauges with DC or DCC control so please bring your own stock to run.
  • We will have a good selection of pre-owned models available from our shop, and of course refreshments (including a selection of freshly made rolls and Greene King beers) are available.
  • Open from 11am to 4pm, and entry is free.

Follow us on Twitter and facebook for updates - and see our website for details.

Please note - access to most rooms is by stairs. If you have any concerns about accessibility, please contact us in advance.
