clachnaharry
What is the covered steel wagon doing there?
Steadfast
It'll be a coupling adapter as the HTAs (apart from the few modified to have buffers) only have buckeyes. Helps when shunting with a non DB loco or mixed rakes of wagons. The BYA steel carriers have buffers and a swing head buckeye, like on a 66 or 67 Jo 1
LBRJ
Nice pictures - It must be 25 years (:O) since I have been out to Peak Forest....which given it is about 20 miles away is quite poor form.... Though at the time, the then g/f's firm used to deal with whoever lives in the shed just over the bridge - So if they wanted a really speedy delivery I'd whip it across there in the rep mobile Rover 620 not bad cars really, and quite fast....
