Northern Ireland Railways Company Limited, Company No. NI006929, was incorporated on 21st April 1967. There is some debate as to when it actually started operating the railways of Northern Ireland but the company name appears on the 1967 summer timetable. Happy birthday NIR. Here's to the next 50.
