Apologies for the delay in replying, Dave.

The point levers are etched ones from Wizard Models. There is another make available for this pattern of point lever, but the name of the company making them eludes me at the moment, sorry, I'll post the information up if I can recall it!

Sentinel 0-4-0 'Llanddewi No. 2' has made a rare trip down the Vale of Radnor Light Railway to Bethesda yard with a short working, for onwards transit with British Railways. The Sentinel is normally confined to the military stores depot at Llanddewi:

The Sentinel then stabled in the yard, whilst the Army footplate retired to the shunters' cabin for a brew:

A little while later, 7418, of Hereford shed, arrived with a short goods working from Kington and Leominster:

The crew stabled the loco on the stop blocks at the end of the yard and went off for a brew and a game of cards. In the meantime, the guard awaited the arrival of the light railway's Peckett 0-4-0ST 'Brynllefrith', which performed a little shunting and formed up an even shorter train to take back up the light railway:

I've driven a Saladin.

Today's useless information:

The steering wheel is mounted on the inside of the front glacis plate, which means the top of the wheels is towards you, and the bottom away from you, which is contrary to most steering wheels.

A splendid choice of motive power, Mein Meister der mit Sauerkraut gefüllten Lederhose.

Lovely to see ones Sentinel named after Norman ' s favourite waitress. No doubt in honour of her flowery baps.

Rob.

Of course, if you wanted a German Molli there's always this

Lovely job on the Peckett,  CK.

Suitably distressed. I rather like the finish on the Sentinel as well. Weathered but wiped over. Very nice.

The point levers might be Springside or Dornaplas, but I can't check, as the website is being revamped.
