Is the darker yellow the approved colour for diesel noses?  With the rest of the body another shade, just seems a little bureaucratic.  But I guess that's how things are!

You know it's funny, but I'm sure I remember reading that they had to make the ends a different colour/ shade to the sides!

 

Perhaps so you can tell if it's coming forwards or sidewards towards you...

They are known for laying and relaying and relaying track, but usually on the same baseboard. The incentive that they should burn said baseboards in between each track formation is too scary to contemplate.

I find this to be the best way to go about having a layout!

Here is my plan and picture of progress on the layout.
