ianblenk
Some final shots from yesterday's operating session. Tynebank is completed, and South Gallions nearly so, It's time for a new model; I have started a couple but backed down, Tyne Dock arches was one of them but this was proving an Arch Too Far. So it's back to where it all started for me and that's the Blyth & Tyne, I'm hoping to model some colliery exchange sidings somewhere between Earsdon Junction and Seghill, working title 'Low Seaton'. Watch this space! Cheers Edited October 3, 2020 by ianblenk

I'm looking forward to seeing you produce the next masterpiece. I hope, too, that we will still see the workings from Tynebank, in future.

It will be a slow burn project so I hope you have plenty of time!

The atmosphere you create here and in the London layout is palpable. I think I have posted to you way back, that we both seem to share a love of cramped city locations. Keep working your magic.

Watch this space! Cheers Ian. I must be loosing it. I never realised South Gallions was yours even though I've been following it very closely. Both the layouts are very much after my own heart. Where you have set South Gallions is kinda where I have set Elbow Lane. Keep the good work up. Dave Smith (Parcels Van) 1
RMweb Premium New Haven Neil Posted October 3, 2020 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 3, 2020 Hi Ian, hope you're well. Another great episode of Tyneside - so atmospheric. Shame the Arches isn't happening, you will understand that they are part of any South Shields lad!

Yeah, it was really an operational thing with the arches, they would have ended up being a one trick pony, maybe a diorama would have been ok, so it's Blyth and Tyne, but you know I would like to do an incline bank foot as well Having heart op on Wednesday so I hope to have plenty of time afterwards to get some projects finished. Thanks for messaging, take care shipmate!

ianblenk
Because, the coast line from South Shields to Sunderland was also electrified, two Parcel Vans were ordered from Eastleigh with slight detail differences and delivered in 1956 and 1957. Here is a rare shot of them both together at Tynebank.
