The show went well at Mountsorrel, running the layout was very useful learning what shunting moves worked and the capacity of trains etc. The board problems were clear, but the new boards will be made later this year and the track transferred onto them.

I plan to complete the rebuild, plus scenery and much of the specific stock like sand hoppers for its's next show at Canterbury in January 2021.

A couple of photos at the show below.

Cheers.

  • 1 year later...

Mike.

This is what I have.

I was at the side of Redhill on 9th, 26th & 30th April 1990

Took pictures all three days.

Looking at the light conditions on the photos I am fairly certain it would have been 26th April. Both 9th and 30th were sunny rather than overcast as in the pics.

Hope it helps.

Dave.

That's Fantastic Dave, it does inded.

Many thanks for taking the time to look up the dates.

You didn't, perchance, take any other Pictures of the train did you?

I'm after any shots of, or include, The Chipman 'Gulper and Jetting' Bogie Bolster C wagon especially.

Once again,

Many Thanks.

Mike.

Sorry Mike.

Just those three as it passed me.

I certain that's the only time I ever saw it.

Dave.

Okay,

Thanks for looking Dave.

It was a rare beastie indeed, probably due to it usually working at night in a full possesion from what I can remember from all those years ago.

I now know of Two pictures of the wagon specifically, yours and Mine and two more of the train as a whole over a couple of years time span.

Mike
