Very nice Rhtt set you have here!!

cheers neil.

Thanks Neil

It's scratchbuilt from plastic sheet on a pair of Bachmann Intermodal wagons.  It isn't 100% accurate, but it's better than not having one!

I am building a new version, it is a bit more accurate and features more detail.  I have purchased transfers from Railtec for the new one!

MORE NEW FIGURES

At the Wakefield Show I was talking to Pete Goss ("The Worlds End" and "Rolands Castle") about his figures and he said he could paint a set of 5 kids wearing modern clothing up for me - they arrived today!

The mobile phone picture doesn't do the painting justice

Hi,

First time I've seen this layout, it's very impressive and captures the look of the line very well.

Having been impressed by the goods shed use at Mansfield Woodhouse myself, I used a similar arrangement for Cottleston and never get tired of seeing a 153 under it. I think I'll have to come over to Mansfield next spring to have a look at the layout.

Cheers,

Ben.

I'm looking forward to the Mansfield Show myself - it will be the fourth exhibition appearance by Annesley Woodhouse and I'm hoping to add a few new details to it (if I can find some motivation!)

Cheers

IMPROVED TREE LINE

A while ago i mentioned that I wasn't happy with the tree line. Seeing the blue backscene behind the tree trunks wasn't creating any depth.  So earlier Shaun glued some hanging basket filling to the top of the bank behind the trees and then, using cheap hairspray, added scatter.  The result is a far better and more natural look.

I glued the figures from Pete Goss (mentioned in post #57) in place while Shaun was sorting out the greenery.

Hi Simon, Sorry for the rash of likes, but I've just caught up with this and it's lovely, we done, and super Videos as well.

Cheers for the comments Andy.  I was happy to read that you had been in TOPS for a bit and are not overdoing it!

Most of the videos are by Shaun, taken on his compact camera and are better than I can do with what I have!

MORE PROGRESS

I'll start off with a better picture of the figures I fitted last week.

I've added more litter to the layout (it looked too clean!) particularly around the buffer stop at the end of the bay

Thanks to Shaun for the pictures and for painting the rails around the buffer stops that I missed were WAY too clean!

Cheers

Simon
