There was an old thread on the archived site that had some useful pics and info I will try find it,

You have presumably seen site linked below?

Thanks Russ, I have seen that site and lots relating to N Wales having been born, brought up and still living on the line. I enjoy the research as much as the building!

old thread - nearly inspired me to build it though was looking for something similar on Cumbrian rather than Cambrian coast :)

These photos at Maentwrog Road in the 1990s are outside your modelling period but I thought they might be of interest.  They are scanned from prints so excuse the quality.

Sorry missed this. Great photos thanks for sharing. Maybe outside my modelling period but great views of the infrastructure and surrounding area.

Just a quick snap to show the back scene in position (shame about the reflections from the windows). I just need to blend it to the foreground to get the desired effect, I had better get making some trees and bushes.

Just a little taster of progress so far. Backscene fitted and now trying to blend it in to the foreground. Track laid and temporary wiring connected to controller for testing. The class 24 is to early for the time period I am modelling but they did work up the branch in the 70's.

Looking great Nick.

Here is the Bedford van as used by the S&T lineman to maintain the ground frames in your period (1983-8)

Don't forget the roof rack.

Thanks Merf, what were these vans, Itals, Maestros or Marinas?
