w124bob
Having trawled through this excellent thread I'm very impressed, it's up there with Mr Nevard's Catcott as far as I'm concerned. Regarding your request for piccies of cl 31's I found plenty of 31305 using the Flickr search box as I've done this loco myself . It seemed to crop up regularly at Man Vic. Off topic but, does anyone remember the driver at the Junction who came up from Orpington and was into Humber cars? Here is 305 at Bescot not far from withdrawl and couple of years early at Victoria. Thats the chap, our paths crossed at Orpington as drivers, then I bumped into him again after I'd been at Manchester Victoria for a few years.

If its who I think it is, he's a big chap. His parents lived just around the corner from here.
w124bob
Back on topic, what Hazchem labels did the vans carry? Several Paul Bartlett images show remnants of diamond labels, may not be relevant to traffic to Maentwrog Rd. Does anyone do suitable decals?

w124bob
Re 31202 I knew the number was familar, but not in a good way. It broke it's back after a runaway, finished up with 31226 sitting on top of it on the North Circular.https://www.flickr.com/photos/77404552@N07/15625307498/in/photolist-dxfkUq-9r86Ry-fh6qNx-pNKMxq-quoqF1-6kppDd-3Rf6j-fhhAbu-ffDBWs-ektMCe-CBGDDC-fkuuya-raywAi-eRqjWa-66g8pi-imgCb5-GJxyJf-7fbGbn-qpaoEB-LJ78Z7-tHRoNU-KmrxXZ-UCAmdq-XEcbS4-MWpQLx-cE66b5-24Rv3Bi-c9nhGj-X6LdQA-7AZEGM-p5tGca-SNmcWb-28qecUo-dirCvV-7AZENc-pVrwc6-cayTdS-qDf6TN-qrPvW1-bbKpGK-cXF7bm-c9QHbL-cgWFmf-7ar9uf-241T1wg-TVARHM-H6aPDc-jx3Jdt-22kk6kC-gL4FHS Edited June 27, 2018 by w124bob

Nick G
25058 shunts a VAA van to be loaded with explosives on my Maentwrog Road layout. The ferry van was used as a barrier wagon.
Signaller69
Looks great Nick. Did the ferry van take a lot of work to lower the ride height? Martyn.
Nick G
Looks great Nick. Did the ferry van take a lot of work to lower the ride height? Martyn. Thanks Martyn I have 2 ferry vans. If I remember rightly a bit of filing where the bogie sits against the underside of the wagon but the secret is smaller wheels!
Wayne 37901
Looks great Nick. Did the ferry van take a lot of work to lower the ride height? Martyn. Another option would be etched w irons. Cheers
Signaller69
Thanks Martyn I have 2 ferry vans. If I remember rightly a bit of filing where the bogie sits against the underside of the wagon but the secret is smaller wheels! It looks much better for it then as it matches the other vans height, istr mine years ago being taller than any of my coaches! Nice patch paint job on half of the door too!
